The Australian Independents (2009-2013) was the largest political party in Australia. It prided itself on being free from ideological conflict and hierarchical domination. It emphasised a membership first approach. The Australian Independents has always been a key part of the Australian Government. It has shaped the country right from the very start and helped it prosper throughout the nations history, producing a significant amount of Presidents, Ministers and Congress Members.

History

The Australian Independents Party (AIP) was a Centerist party founded by Xavier Griffith. Beginning as a minor political party after Xavier Griffith became disillusioned with the apparent far-left swing by the Australian Democratic Socialist Party.

The AIP was formed with the idea of allowing those that could be seen as Minority Political Beliefs an opportunity to join a Political Party that can work towards their ideas. The main motto of the AIP is: Keep the bastards honest. Which means that the AIP will work to ensure that the PM and his Cabinet of the day are kept honest and that their policies do not sway too far from the centre line either left or right which could be seen as not being of benefit to the Nation as a whole.

Xavier Griffith was involved in the reconstruction of eAustralia, owns a number of businesses of his own and has been elected to the Senate for 18 terms and has held the position of Speaker of the Senate for 3 Terms. He is also served as the first Minister of Information. He was also eAustralian Prime Minister for 2 terms.

This party was originally called the Australian Independents Party, however, during the Party Presidency of H.Nelson (September 2009), it was officially renamed to its last name, Australian Independents (AI).

The Australian Independents ceased to be an Australian party on June 16, 2010, following the PTO by Indonesian-backed threesecond. The party was restarted in December 2010 by its original founder - Xavier Griffith. The party survived next two years and died out sometime at the end of 2012 / beginning of 2013.

Policies

While the AIP does have basic Ideals and Policies, members of the AIP are not required to actually have the same ideals or policies to be a member, and are not forced to vote along these lines if they choose not to.

General

Party-Australian Independents.jpg The AIP is a center party predominantly, however is open to minority groups and allows these minority groups to work together with the other party members to bring about their goals, provided they don't contradict other basic policies of the party.

Party-Australian Independents.jpg Membership in the AIP is open to those that do not see themselves fitting specifically into one of the current major political parties of the AMP, ANP or ACP.

Party-Australian Independents.jpg The AIP sees its self as the party that keeps the others honest and stops governmental policies swinging too far to either side of the political scale.

Party-Australian Independents.jpg AIP Members are free to cross the floor in the Senate in relation to votes without the AIP as a Party being offended. The Party does not force its members to hold permanently and strictly to its policies.

Civil and Governmental

Party-Australian Independents.jpg The AIP supports the privatization of companies, and the right of Corporations to operate their businesses with minimal government interference and regulation.

Party-Australian Independents.jpg The AIP supports governmental policies that aid individuals and where warranted, industries through social programs.

Party-Australian Independents.jpg The AIP supports political discussion and debate, but reserves the right of members to vote on issues in the Senate on what they believe is in the best interests for ALL, not just the eCitizens and not just the Corporations, and certainly not just in the political interests of the Government.

Defence

Party-Australian Independents.jpg The AIP supports a strong, well organised Defence Force, as well as an elite force.

Party-Australian Independents.jpg The AIP supports strong and friendly relations with our Indonesian neighbours while not allowing them to abuse our friendship.

Party-Australian Independents.jpg The AIP supports peaceful resolution of political difference with all nations over immediate Military Action.
