Bagumbayan-KBP, which stands for Bagumbayan-Kapisanan para sa Bagong Pilipinas (English: Bagumbayan-Organization for a New Philippines), is a sixth generation Center Philippine Political Party, succeeding LAKAN-KBP, Partido Sosyalistang Ganap and Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas. It was renamed on February 17, 2015 as an organization mainly dedicated to promote and transform the Philippines into a New Philippines. Bagumbayan-KBP was the second largest party and the fastest growing political party in the country.

History

LAKAN-KBP

In June of 2012, the A New Hope party was formed. J Grey, its first-ever candidate for the Presidential elections, won against KMP's Lacon Yan, 54 against 45 votes. It never ran a candidate for Presidential elections until it was renamed Sith Empire in August 2012, which was the result of a merger between the Royal Philippines Party and A New Hope. That month, the Sith Empire supported Destroyer S87 of DPP in the Presidential elections. In November of 2012, it was again renamed into the New Philippines Party (NPP) by 27ist. It fielded a Presidential candidate for the first time since June when its former party president, Pinopinopino, ran for the Presidential elections in January of 2013. He only had 3 of 86 votes. On February 6, 2013, the NPP was renamed P.C.B. Filipino by juancda. On February 17, 2013, the party was renamed again as LAKAN-KBP by Liana Paldrov. For the Presidential elections in March 2013, LAKAN-KBP endorsed Al Raposas. He only had 37 of 108 votes, the best performance of the party ever since the victory of J Grey on June 5, 2012. After the March 5 presidential elections, LAKAN-KBP reached the top five for the first time since August 2012.

Partido Sosyalistang Ganap

Partido Sosyalistang Ganap or PSG (English: Complete Socialist Party), is a second generation Far-Left Philippine Political Party, succeeding the Revolutionary Socialist Party. It was renamed on April 21, 2013 as a New Socialist Filipino party. There was a time when Partido Sosyalistang Ganap was the third largest party in the Philippines. For the Presidential elections in May 2013, PSG endorsed Liana Paldrov. She only had 8 of 66 votes, the only performance of the party in presidential elections.

Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas

The party was formed after the Liberal Movement Party was renamed around May 2012. The party then grew with Aliana Almazan, mother of Liana Paldrov, being an active member. On the June 2012 presidential elections, the party endorsed DrummerMike as their candidate, being supported by the Kilusan ng Makabayang Pilipino and the Democratic Party for Progress. In the second half of 2012, the party became a minor party under the Revolutionary Socialist Party. The party fielded Deniz Kerasus as their candidate for the December 2012 elections. He lost as he only garnered 3 votes. The party remained on hiatus in the first quarter of 2013.

Bagumbayan-KBP

On February 17, 2015, the second anniversary of LAKAN-KBP, the party that was then PKP was renamed again as Bagumbayan-KBP by Al Raposas. The date also marks the sixth day since the sixth anniversary of the Philippines in the New World.
