The mission of Det Norske Venstrepartiet was to promote leftist social, political, and economic policies in Norway. Unofficially part of the Internationale, Det Norske Venstrepartiet received a lot of positive, as well as negative, reviews from a right-wing majority Norway.

Creation

Det Norske Venstrepartiet was the only left-wing party in all of Norway as of April 26th, 2011. It was created by MikeBane, an international revolutionary socialist, in mid-April. MikeBane saw the need for a broad left-wing political party in which all left-wing or left-wing sympathizers could unite under. The party brought something new to Norway, it was an honest attempt at the first true left-wing party and although it did not manage to seize power over the means of production the DNV created activity in Norway and co-operated with other political parties, it will forever be remembered as a building-block and inspiration for future Norwegian socialism and left-wing politics.
