The Finland-Norway War was a continuation of the Finnish Independence War. During the independence portion, Finnish resistance fighters gained the regions of Western Finland, Southern Finland, and Eastern Finland and elections were held. This allowed the nation of Finland to wage war against Norway to reaquire its remaining territories. After four long battles, Finland had finally succeeded in its quest for independence and was finally whole.
