Summary

Gercon Bonn has had a long career in eRepublik, having gone into retirement twice. Originally a Canadian journalist and politician, he moved to Australia in December of 2008 and later on (most likely in 2009) further on to New Zealand.

The Victoria Review

Gercon Bonn has maintained a newspaper since his first week in Canada, where he made his start in the world. The Victoria Review's first major story covered the political takeover of Ireland by Victor Petrescu in August 2008. He obtained one of the first interviews with Victor Petrescu after the event. This publication helped to launch Gercon Bonn into the Political and Social arenas. After moving to Australia in December of 2008, Gercon Bonn has primarily used The Victoria Review for editorial and campaign purposes.

Political Life

Long an advocate of free trade and relaxed economic policies, Gercon Bonn has maintained active roles in the right lean parties of his homelands. While in Canada, he made his start in the Norsefire Party of Canada, serving as the party's Deputy for Foreign Policy, and saw it through its transition into the Canadian Progressive Front under Party President (and eventual Prime Minister) Banach.

In Australia, Gercon Bonn fronted much of the cost for the foundation of the right-leaning Australian National Party.

Ministerial Positions

Gercon Bonn has served in several cabinets, in both Canada and Australia, as a Minister and Deputy Minister in several capacities.
