The Icelandic Campaign is made up of around 50 people who are trying to get Iceland added to Erepublik. The support for the campaign in rising fast and so is the membership.

The campain was started by Neppons on the 7th of October 2009, on day 687 of The New World. Currently it has around 50 active members, and even more showing it's support.

History

The Icelandic Campaign was founded on the 7th of October 2009, by Neppons. A few days later, KongoOgbi, Mappo and Umut joined the campaign. Shortly after this, the Republic of Iceland organization was created. The organisations main purpose is to publish articles and collect money for the campaign.

On the 26th of October, the forum was finally active, with 2 threads. As of now, there are over 50 members and 1500 posts. These include topics about the petition, which can be found here and how the country will work once added.

IRC

The Icelandic Campaign has an IRC-channel, #Iceland @ QuakeNet. The channel has usually 15 people who idle there.
