Citizens can send invitations after reaching level 4 (at least 15 Experience points) or by purchasing the Unlock features pack.
By default, the citizen name is automatically filled-in, but he/she can modify it as desired. The box containing emails of the friends to invite can be manually completed or the citizen can automatically add emails from his/her address book contacts of the Yahoo!, Gmail, MSN and/or AOL account.
For each citizen invited that reaches level 6, the inviter will receive 5 gold. Additionally, at every 10 new invited citizens who reach level 6, the inviter receives the Society Builder achievement.
You can also invite citizens by spreading your personal invitation link that can be found from Invite friends-page.
There is also Invites status-feature that allows you to track all the invitations you've sent and see their status.
