History

The party was created by the leaders of Isanmaallinen Kansanpuolue found the old name too radical and not suitable for the new orientation of the party. The party administration was constitued of left-wing members of the party. The final push for the new party came when the right-wing member of the party decided to do a new party, Kansallinen Korppipuolue, some right-wing members of the party decided to move to the new party. At this point the party administration decided to launch a new party, so that they wouldn't seem as radical, as before.

The new party was planned to be unveiled after the president elections of July 2009 to get more attention to the change. The new party concentrated on a patriotic and conservative line.
