Lika and Gorski Kotar (Hrvatski:Lika i Gorski Kotar) is mountain region of Croatia. The capital city of this region is Karlovac.
Gorski Kotar is attired in forest greenery during the summer and cloaked in snow in winter.
Ancient forests, protected landscapes, unique natural and geomorphic reserves await here, while the crowning experience is the Risnjak National Park. There are fairytale-like mountain rivers, climbs to exceptional ridges and descents info the mysterious world of Gorski Kotars mountain caves.
Lika is a region whose name, derived from the Celtic word "Life" (meaning "beautiful country" is well deserved.
