Matt Beta was a politician and citizen of South Africa. He is perhaps best known for his public outcry against the decision to allow Brazil to hold South African regions to fend off a PTO attack in December 2009.
History
Matt Beta was eborn in Canada pm Day 625, which is his IRL location. Not long after he was born, France moved into Ontario, and Matt decided he would leave his home. He originally discovered the game through Travis Granger, a businessman from USA, through a gaming website. At this time, Travis was evacuating his followers to South Africa, as Florida was expected to be taken over at that time. Once Matt arrived in South Africa, he soon gained enough XP to join Travis new party, the Associates of General Wellness. Matt soon became a high ranking member in the AGW, and he served two congress terms in that party. In late December 2009, Ines Schumacher had made arrangements to allow Brazil to hold three of South Africa's regions to help fend off a PTO attack. Matt was skeptical at first, but soon became an outspoken critic of the plan. He selfishly threatened to release the then confidential plans to the public, but he soon realized his foolishness and backed off. However, when Brazil used KwaZulu-Natal to get to Australia, he once again voiced disdain, but refrained from threatening the government. Soon after this, Matt returned to his native Canada to seek out a new political career there, but this failed, and he returned to South Africa.
EDEN World Tour
Once Spain launched their second attack on France and Poland went in to finish off Germany, Matt became interested in EDEN battles. His first location on his world tour was to the newly captured Karnataka, where he started fighting against Phoenix countries. He stayed there for about 4 days, then he went to Poland where he helped defeat Germany, and region swap with Spain. He started to really enjoy fighting with EDEN, but he wished to return to South Africa. After about a week in Poland, Matt returned to South Africa, where his new pro-military views no longer fit with his Associates of General Wellness colleagues, so he left his high ranking spot to join the Suid-Afrikaanse Legioen, which is a pro-military party.
Today
Matt was a dedicated SAL member until the SAL Ad Fiasco, when he returned to the Associates of General Wellness. He is also a strong supporter of EDEN and the military. He participated in the battles that removed Indonesia from South Africa, and his newspaper is Cheeseburger Apocalypse. He was one of the main components behind transforming the AGW into the Naturalist Party of South Africa.
