My proposition

Use the form below to upload files. To view or search previously uploaded files go to the list of uploaded files, (re)uploads are also logged in the upload log, deletions in the deletion log.

Note that files that do not conform with the Files naming policy will be deleted.

To include a file in a page, use a link in one of the following forms:

 • to use the full version of the file
 • to use a 200 pixel wide rendition in a box in the left margin with 'alt text' as description
 • for directly linking to the file without displaying the file

Of course Files naming policy will be written, we may copy some stuff from Naming policy --Icon-Poland.png Grzechooo drop a line 05:52, 6 May 2011 (PDT)

Since when can we upload ogg files? -- Icon-Austria.png Mikhail Alexander 07:17, 6 May 2011 (PDT)
I don't really know, it's just in the default message. --Icon-Poland.png Grzechooo drop a line 08:37, 6 May 2011 (PDT)
Of course we will need to modify it, what are the rules for Coats, Flags, Maps, etc? We can state them here for people who don't know what they should be called or what format they should be in -- Icon-Austria.png Mikhail Alexander 00:37, 8 May 2011 (PDT)

I would add following to this page:

If the file you're about to upload is a map, coat of arms, party logo or flag, please make sure that the file naming meets the file naming policy. For example, party logos should be uploaded with naming convention of "File:Party-full name of the party.jpg/.png".

As no one cared about this discussion, I was selfish and implemented my own idea :D --Icon-Finland.png sampo555 | Talk 05:17, 16 May 2011 (PDT)

Screenshot-

I dunno if this is workable (or even necessary in all cases) , but should we consider a separate notice for those who are uploading screenshots, or screen-captures? Perhaps include a date stamp to the actual file name because I have seen old WorldMap pictures uploaded that are sometimes months (or even a year) old. Perhaps something like "Screen-filename-9May2011.png" or "Worldmap-filename-9May2011.png". The date would be the map date, not the upload date. Just something to think about. -- Flag-USA.jpg Citizen 6 Ribbon addition - Silver Award Star.png Talk   07:17, 9 May 2011 (PDT)
