Minister of Immigration is a user created position. Minister of Immigration is usually nominated by the country President. Some countries like Finland have at least at some point had a minister responsible for recruiting people to join their eRepublik country outside the game, in message boards for example. In this way, Minister of Immigration is similar to Minister of Social Affairs or even eRepublik Ambassadors as their duty is to make people interested in eRepublik and join their country.

After the citizenship was implemented some governments have had plans of founding a Ministry of Immigration to prevent PTO groups getting citizenship in their countries.

In Australia, this position is known as the Minister of Immigration, Customs and Security.

In Belgium, this position is known as the Minister of Home Affairs.
