On October 14, 2012 (Day 1,790 of the New World) Natanijel Birkenbaum anglicized his name and surname.

His Hebrew name (Nethanel) Natanijel, meaning "Gift of God" (from the Hebrew words nathan = "Gift" + el = "of God"), was anglicized to Nathaniel. His common Ashkenazi Jewish surname Birkenbaum, (from the German words Birken = "Birch" + baum = "tree or wood"), was anglicized to Birchwood.
