Partido Democratico Uruguayo (abbr. PDU; Eng. Uruguayan Democratic Party) could be considered the founding party of Icon-Uruguay.png Uruguay, since it was the pioneer in independence against the Parvos (or "Fools" in English) and to be a home for Uruguayans (from real life) that was arriving from the other countries when Uruguay was finally added to the New World. In addition, it was one of the few in all of Uruguay that never changed its name during the first years of Uruguay. The founder of the party was Daniel Gardel in June 2009.

It was undoubtedly one of the most important parties in Uruguay between 2009 and 2011, having won the majority of seats in most of the congressional elections that it participated. In the first 17 presidential elections, 9 of them were from PDU - 2x Chukamika, 2x Daniel Gardel, Ajburu, Christian Azziorri, charrua3, DUFTY and tiopiter. The party had over 70 members at the peak of its existence.

Later, in 2011, it was renamed Partido Militar Uruguayo and was used by the parvas (different from parvos) to rob Uruguay, taking all the money. After that, the party disappeared.
