• 10th September 2008 - elected party president of Ciudadanos y Democracia and served one day as Party president - Nesan Keihan-Tohoku could not place his candidacy because of a bug, and he asked the voters to vote for ricard2037 who won the elections with 75% of the total votes, and next day he resigned the presidency to Nesan.

• 11th September 2008 - left party presidency to Nesan Keihan-Tohoku

• Elected to Congress of Spain and served three consecutive terms - August, September, October 2008. He did not stand for November elections, instead he joined military forces (Fuerzas Armadas) of Spain. Elected Members of Congress were not allowed to leave their country at the time.
