Early Life
He was born on day 586 of the new world in the Austrian region of Vorarlberg. His early life was simple, consisting of the minimum 2 clicks a day. After a week of living in Vorarlberg, Travis decided to leave his heimat in search of a land with more opportunity. After a period of research, he decided that he couldn't abandon his beloved Austria. Rather than emigrating, he made his way to Styria (the only Austrian region with a Q5 Hospital) where he hoped to make his fortune. Once in Styria, he prospered. It was there that he first became involved in both the military and political aspects of life.
Politics
Early Political Life
The first step in his political life was to join the Rot Weiss Rot Party. At the time, he was a young, naive citizen without any idea of how the world worked. it didn't take long for Travis to realize that he wanted to play a much more active political role than was going to be possible in Rot Weiss Rot. Therefore, he made the decision to join the Social-Libertarian Party of Austria, which was led by Hrvat at the time. Interestingly enough, his life as an elected official came about by accident. Several days before the party president elections of 15 August 2009, Travis accidentally declared his candidature for party president. Although he initially planned to bow out of the race, the idea of entering the political arena proved too tempting.
As Party President
Running on a reform platform Travis secured the support of a majority of voting members in the party, just edging out the interim party leader, chadjo. After securing his position, Travis renamed the party and realigned it's politics and many of its political positions. During his presidency, the party achieved its greatest political success to date, winning 6 congressional seats, or 15% of the Austrian congress in the 25 August 2009 elections. He is an active politician, currently serving as the party leader of the Austrian Independence Party and as a member of the Austrian congress from Tyrol. During his time as party president, he authored the Charter of the Austrian Independence Party.
Military
He is also a soldier, serving in Osterreichs Bundesheer. His first overseas deployment as a part of Osterreichs Bundesheer came in the early days of World War III when he was deployed to Lisboa in order to assist Portugal's war effort.
Opposition to World War III
Shortly after the start of World War III, Travis had a change of heart. He realized that the war was being fought only to exact revenge against former members of Atlantis. At this time, he became a vocal opponent of the war. He felt that the war violated the mission statement of PEACE GC as it was not a war of defensive, but an aggressive war of conquest.
Other
Travis James is the editor of The Austrian Post which he uses to communicate with members of the Austrian Independence Party and as an area for congress members to debate laws that he has proposed.
