This was the first war on the Asian continent. Israel was a small and relatively weak state compared to Turkey. This conflict was responsible for later regional anti-Turkish sentiment which led ultimately to the Balkan War.
During the Israel-Turkey War, Aryamehr broke with his government and unofficially sent soldiers to Israel to help the fight. Volunteers from all around the world also participated to defend Israel. However, even with this help, Israel was unable to remain independent.
Prior to the war, the Shah of Iran, Aryamehr notified Israeli President CyberStormAlpha about the Turkish threat. He also said that Iran had it's doors open to Israel. (March)
