Citizen Awards

This scheme was approved by Parliament on 19th July 2008.

Citizen of the Month Award

A ‘citizen of the month’ is selected by congress in the middle of each month and rewarded with a cash prize of Flag-United Kingdom.jpg 50 GBP. Each Congressmen may nominate a candidate with reasons why they think their nominee should be selected. Nominations can be entered on the thread over a fixed period of 2 days. At the end of the 2 days, all Congressmen are entitled to vote for the winner.

The criteria for nomination is:
1. Any citizen other than a Congressmen
2. Someone who has made a big contribution to UK through war effort, interesting suggestions for improvement to UK or eRep, interesting articles or just positive contributions to debates.
3. The nominee need not be active on the e-uk forum as their efforts might be focused in eRep, though hopefully winning the award would encourage then to register on the forum…

This legislation was amended to remove the e-OBE section, due to it being incorporated into the larger Honours legislation.
