John Wycliffe is a Two-Term Congressman from the state of Maryland in the United States of America, a United States Worker's Party Political Action Committee Member, Chair of Government Affairs Committee for the United States Worker's Party Platform, and Editor of Summa Res Publica. He has been a part of eRepublik's new world since the beta version and has been active through the transition to version 1.

Political Career

The United States Worker's Party

John Wycliffe began as a member of the USWP during the beta version of eRepublik after leaving the Democratic Party. The first major action taken was to join the Political Action Committee under GoBucks. Wycliffe participated in GOTV operations for President Benn Dover (for the second term) and for Uncle Sam during his time with the PAC, where he remains to this day. Recently, however, John Wycliffe was named to chair the Party Platform Government Affairs Committee for the USWP. Working with two high ranking USWP members, scrabman and ProggyPop, they plan to iron out a coherent policy for Government Affairs for future congressional candidates and presidential candidates.

The United States Congress

John Wycliffe, after spending some time in the PAC for the USWP, was able to run for Congress in the December elections of 2008. The Christmas Day Congress or 13th Congressional Elections were very close in Maryland, where he ran, and a tie resulted in his election based on experience points. After a first term in Congress, however, John Wycliffe was elected with a much larger margin in the January 2009 or 14th Congressional Elections, once again for the state of Maryland.
