Translations

Great job on the translations to Finnish. I want to direct you to this page Help:Translating Pages specifically to the section on linking pages. There is a different way to link pages to make sure that the links go to other translated pages. Let me know if you have any questions. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 13:19, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Too many expensive parser function calls"

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you. This means that too many templates are being used on the page [1]. We don't want these pages in the wiki because they tax the system resources too much. My suggestion is to rethink the page. Is a translation in such great detail really needed? eRussian State and related

eRussian being right now a binational state, and with the agreement of the Ministry of Education and Culture, I, Vice-president of eRussia, have established these pages as bilingual. The Russian version come first, and the English version immediately thereafter. Using the multilingual structure of the wiki would have bad consequences for eRussia, because it would suggest to keep different versions of the textes. This would be, in this special case, very, very bad. We want that English-speakers and Russian-speakers get the SAME information, and for this we agreed to use a different structure.

Thus, the tag of "needs translation" was removed, and an explanation will be written.

MoredanKantose, I feel that you need to follow Wiki protocol and guidance. The pages in question DO NOT meet Wiki standards, which is used by ALL other countries. Kindly, stop removing tags placed by other Editors until situation is resolved. If you wish to write information in Russian, please follow instructions on how to translate Pages:

Title Change

I saw that you changed the title of my citizen page from "Citizen Timinator" to "Timinator". My in-game name is "Citizen Timinator". This issue has occurred several times on the wiki. Citizen Page Tutorial

The language menu doesn't work in the "eRepublik" name space. We also have a few other translated tutorials (however I screwed up the names of the pages months ago and haven't fixed them yet.... Suggestion

Hello Kuhaa. I see that you have update some pages with adding category Category:Laws. So an idea was awoken in me. Wouldn't it be better on this pages where laws are written to replace Category:Politics with Category:Laws which is in fact an subcategory of Politics? Because now, you can see the same pages on Category:Politics and on Category:Laws which is a subcategory of politics. It's a good idea. I did as you suggested and removed Category:Politics from the articles I added Category:Laws on, and replaced "Politics" with "Laws" in the articles about Income tax, Import tax and VAT. I'm truly appreciate you monitoring new articles, but please can you quit cleaning my articles for a while. I'll clean them myself. You see, I was editing one translated page but due to your edition in the same time all my work has gone. Now some of my articles looking a little bit mess because some other players from Ukraine using my account while waiting for registration confirmed of they're own account (by the way, that is a problem, some people wait more than a weak to have their eWiki accounts). So please, give me a little credit for a while. Thanks.

Kuhaa, I am really impressed with all of the work that you do in the wiki. I was wondering if you would be willing to take on a little bit more. We need more sysops! You already patrol the wiki and do a great job... so I was wondering if you would like the task. What it means for you? I'm somewhat surprised I'm given this opportunity, thank you. Me being a Sysop sounds like an interesting idea. It could take some time for me to get used to it(and by that I mean I could be afraid of using new powers) and I'd probably be constantly afraid of messing something up, but I believe I could handle it. So it wouldn't mean that after the promotion there would be things I'd have to do no matter what? As much as I love Wiki, I still want to have time to play the game itself. :D And as I said in Bar some time ago, I'm running for presidency in game this month so I can't contribute just as much for some time if I get elected. Yeah, QJ always makes cookies in the sysop backyard! Anyway, being a sysop, if you're not really used to it, doesn't make a great difference. Image Map?

Kuhaa, Geo said that you were the one who figured out the image map for the menu bar that is used here Homepage and a lot of other pages. Fist I need to confess that I screwed up the last project. I forgot to remove Get Gold & extras-links from Market(and Main menu. :/ It won't take long to fix it as removing one link won't be as troublesome as adding image map, adding two pictures and possibly updating My Places with a new picture and links. I will do it but I hope it's not the most urgent thing to do. Those pages are still more up-to-date than they were before.

Do you mean why don't we make a template of that image map? L-template doesn't work with image map so it would always link to English page. When putting this straight to page's code we give translations a chance to change the links according to their language. Did you send message to QJ as well? The one used at Bar? Yes I have and it looks great. What was wrong with the imagemap back then? I didn't have time to see it before you had fixed it but then again, I doubt I even could have helped with it. I easily get confused with templates, and I'm only good at creating simple imagemaps such as those used on Main menu and Country stats.-- Kuhaa|sTalk to me! 21:29, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

The problem was that the imagemap was parsed before template parameters substitution. The problem and the solution are quite technical in their essence --Mini ^"Template" Bill bother me! 21:48, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Templates translation

Well, I have just seen that you translated the ICitizen template to finnish, and well, I will not ask how to do so, as I know that I just can't, but could do you it?..., I have already translated the templates to spanish (that is what I were going to ask), so it only needs to be copy&pasted, unless it doesn't matter so much, so I just continue using my sandbox for it, :P
By now, I had translated the citizen and country template, and probably soon will do with the party template (I also I'm thinking on doing so as well with the alliance template, since it's already used on EDEN and ALA pages).

I had implemented the citizen template in the pages that I had implemented it already..., and I will start puting it in every other citizen page translated to spanish, :P..., as for the country template, I will try to actualize the current pages at the same time, so I don't do a lot of editing (I don't like to edit and over-edit in so less time, unless something makes it necessary).
