Theocratic Nation of Switzerland

Hi. I've noticed that you have been changing the links on Countries and Template:Countries for Switzerland. I would like to make it clear that I am not opposing this (Mexico and Iran have changed their flags before), it just seems there is a need for discussion before this big a change is made.

Firstly, can you provide evidence that the name and flag of Switzerland has been changed like this? (An article in the Swiss media would be fine, no offence meant).

Secondly, I could make you a new icon to match the flag if you wish.

Thirdly, Theocratic Nation of Switzerland is rather too long for the tables, would it be alright if the name on these was kept as Switzerland and just the flag changed? I suggest this as other countries (the United States of America, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Hellenic Republic) all have their shortened versions on the template and in common use. --Martin23230 19:07, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Alright, I have uploaded Image:Flag-Theocratic Switzerland.jpg and Image:Icon-Theocratic Switzerland.png for you.

Now if you use any template, such as Template:CountryLink you can add Theocratic Switzerland and it will enter the flag.

For example: {{CountryLink|Switzerland}} will still give: Switzerland.

However {{CountryLink|Theocratic Switzerland}} will give: Theocratic Switzerland.

{{SmFlag|Switzerland}} will give: .

{{SmFlag|Theocratic Switzerland}} will give: .

This way the old flag is still saved, but the new flag can be used normaly. I hope you are OK with this arrangement! --Martin23230 21:22, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
