|I, Field Marshal Artela, Chief of the General Staff, hereby award Valorum membership to the Distinguished Service Order as conferred by the United Kingdom Military Honours Committee.|
A Brigadier in the Infantry of the British Army; he has served in the past as Commodore of the Royal Navy, as well as an ambassador for the UK to Israel and Italy. He has worked extensively in the Foreign Ministry of the United Kingdom, serving as a Chief Envoy to Neutral Nations. Valorum was living in London; having previously been an upstanding member of the Northern Ireland community. Later, Valorum moved to Wales.
Valorum was a long-serving member of the UK military; having been one of the most senior members of the Royal Navy until its demise in April 2010; serving as Commodore of the Antarctic Fleet. He also served for a period of time as Captain of the HMS Aurora, part of the Antarctic Fleet.
The last post he held was the position of the Petty Officer in the UKSF; as part of the Special Boat Service.
The following commendations are placed in chronological order as to when received.
First Valorum joined the Radical Freethinkers Alliance (RFA). The RFA at the time was full of many good people but being in the middle of the political spectrum they were indecisive when it mattered.
After leaving the RFA Valorum joined the Free Democratic Party (FDP) led at the time by Arthur Wellesley. The FDP was truly the first party he felt welcome and part of a good group of people. Sadly, due to a decline in membership and a long time clinging to life, it finally disbanded. After the disbandment of the FDP he started looking for a new party to call home.
After some persuasion from a good friend, he joined the People's Communist Party (PCP). PCP had and still has some great people but he didn't really agree with their ideology and quickly become disagreeing with many of their policies.
Next, he joined the United Kingdom Reform Party (UKRP) due to the persuasion of some ex-FDP members who joined them. UKRP was just bad in his opinion. UKRP preached equal opportunity and all but quickly found it to be a party run by the old members - for the old members. When elections come around you can be quickly pushed aside for one of the "old guard". He left this party due to the hostile feeling it produced towards newer members.
Later Valorum become a member of The Unity Party.
