The Voting System is the method by which democratic elections take place simultaneously throughout eRepublik.
These elections take place each month and require citizens to have at least 35 experience points (EP) in order to be allowed to vote. Every time a citizen votes, he/she receives 1 EP.
- On the 5th of the month citizens can vote for President Elections that are taking place in a country.
- On the 15th of the month citizens can vote for Party Elections if they are members of a party.
- On the 25th of the month citizens can vote for Congress Elections in their residential country.

A vote is placed by selecting the radio button situated near the candidate and by pressing the vote button. After voting, a display congratulation message and partial results will appear.
- If a citizen does not have 35 experience points, a notification message will appear followed by a list of partial results.

Party Elections
Citizens need to be members of a party in order to vote in party elections and, of course, they can only vote for the leadership of their own party.
They can access the voting area from the homepage of your party by clicking on the “Run for Party Elections“.
If there are not any candidates to the party president election, the sitting party president continues his post as leader.
For a citizen to vote, s/he has to:
- access the Elections screen and
- click the "Vote" button next to his/her choice.
|
Congress elections
To vote in congressional elections, citizens must enter the voting screen.
They will be presented with the parties in the election for the region they are member of.
- They have to click the party name to view the candidates
- They have to click the "Vote" button to vote.
|
|
After they have voted, they will be presented with the partial results for all of the congressional elections in their country. The top 40 candidates obtaining the highest number of votes will become Congress Members. The old Congress Members lose their positions.
Only the top 5 political parties (based on number of members) will have candidates for the Congress elections.

Country President Elections
-
- First of all candidates need to be a candidate for the presidential elections. What do they have to do for that ?
- They need to unlock presidential feature by reaching experience level 14 or by acquiring Unlock features pack.
- They need to be a party member
- They need to be endorsed by the president of their party
- The party they are member of must be one of the top 5 parties (by number of members) that endorsed a citizen for presidency OR
- They also need to receive support from a president of one of the top 5 parties (by number of members) that endorsed a citizen for presidency. Party presidents cannot support a candidate from another party unless the candidate is supported by the president of their own party
- Once they have completed all the four requirements for becoming a candidate, they will also need to win the election in order to become country president
The candidate with the biggest number of votes becomes the president. If equal, the highest level of EP will be taken into consideration.
If the new president is a Congress Member, s/he loses the congress member seat. The old president loses his/her president position.
