World War IV
World War IV is the fourth series of connected conflicts and wars that have taken place across the New World. WWIV has been called the First Real World War, since there has been much more fighting over a wider area than any of the previous World Wars. The main focus of the fighting is the conflict between EDEN, having successfully defended North America in World War III, and Phoenix, a new alliance formed from the collapse of the PEACE Global Community. The war has been seen as "tying up lose ends" from previous wars, such as the occupation of the Asian high iron regions by PEACE/Phoenix powers ever since World War II, the "betrayal" of the United Kingdom during World War III, when they switched from ATLANTIS to PEACE aligned, and mutual hatred between Germany and Poland, France and Spain and Hungary and Romania. This is the first World War to be literally a 'world' war.
As stated, the war crossed many different areas around the world. The original focus of the war was Asia, where the United States, after passing through Japan in the Second Kyushu Controversy, launched an offensive to remove longstanding PHOENIX powers from the area, specifically Indonesia, Hungary, and Iran, all laying claims to high Iron regions.
Wars were opened in every continent of the world besides Antarctica. Nations in Asia like China and India who previously were not resisting the PHOENIX powers in Asia joined with EDEN and the United States to bring an end to the PHOENIX rule in the area.
South Africa betrayed fellow Sol alliance member Australia to Brazil who took Western Australia and Northern Territory. The regions were reclaimed, but the war here lead the way for Australia to join EDEN.
South Africa apologized and attempted to get Brazil out of their homeland. Indonesia invaded the rest of the country using already occupied territory from previous conquests. South Africa received massive EDEN backing and Indonesia failed to win here, and eventually lost their claims in South Africa, though not before Argentina managed to swap into Western Cape.
In South America, Peru fought Brazil since it had been taken over by Poland and Brazil had already attempted to attack. Peru won a Brazilian region, but it was later returned via resistance war.

After EDEN successfully removed the occupying PEACE powers from North America at the close of World War III, many in the United States saw the war as only partially over. PEACE still had strongholds in Asia from many wars ago. Ever since the time of the Pakistani Empire, India and China had never been fully in control of their territory. As well as the calls for liberation, there was also a practical reason for invading Asia. The "Three Pillars" of Asia; Karnataka in India, Liaoning and Heilongjiang in China, all had high iron, which was used to fund much of the PEACE war chest. Denying these resources from PEACE whilst securing the "Three Pillars" for EDEN would be one of the US's major goals in the war.
As well as the United State's movements in Asia, the war was beginning to take shape in Europe. Poland had just had a massive baby boom, one of the largest the New World had ever seen, and it was beginning to expand. Poland has no natural high resource regions, unlike neighbouring Germany which had three high grain regions. Poland needed to secure some high grain to keep its new citizens fed. As well as this, in past Germany had annexed Poland, before being invaded by Sweden in the Second Sweden-Germany War. Germany was an obvious target for the Poles to expand.
During World War III, Spain had been entirely occupied by France, and they were now planning their revenge. Spain had technically invaded France before as part of the ATLANTIS invasion, and there was a long history between the two countries. Like Poland, there was also a question of resources; although Spain already had two high grain regions and even high iron, France had two high wood regions, whilst Spain had none.
Similarly to Poland-Germany and Spain-France, there was a shared hatred amongst EDEN powers for the United Kingdom, which had changed sides at the outbreak of World War III. The UK had previously been an ally of ATLANTIS, and had participated on their side during several conflicts. When the Central European War broke out, and ATLANTIS was split, the UK joined the United States, Spain, Canada and Ireland in setting up Fortis. However, after several disagreements over voting, the UK left and the talks collapsed. After a period of "neutrality", the United Kingdom decided to let Hungary have access to North America via Scotland, later gaining the conflict and annexing much of Atlantic Canada, as well as clearing the way for Iran to enter North America, and Hungary to reach Asia.
Course of the War
U.S. Offensive in Asia
The Asian Campaign
On December 6, 2009, United States president Jewitt pledged that the hostile PHOENIX powers in Asia would be removed and that China and India would be liberated. There are two stepping stones connecting the Americas from Asia. The first is the connection between Far-East Russia and Alaska, the second being the connection of Hawaii to Kyushuu, Japan. Going through Russia would prove costly, and ultimately would have ended in failure as the US would have to immediately fight Hungary in Heilongjiang (nicknamed Hello Kitty). Kyushuu proved to be an easier pathway, for America would not have to activate any MPP's except Japan's, who had few. This would have allowed them access to southern China, which was partially occupied by a weakened Indonesia, and the Americans already had several alliances activated against them.
Japan was not pleased by PHOENIX, and was in a bad situation itself. Japan considered itself staunch allies to China and India, and disapproved of their PEACE allies occupation of their territories. However, when the Americans approached Japan's President Dokomo about region swapping with them, they were turned down. Japan had adopted a policy of a 'righteous nation' after it had allowed Indonesia to go through its land to attack America in World War III, vowing to not be used in conflicts anymore. The Americans resorted to war, and attacked Kyushu in the Second Kyushu Controversy, the biggest battles in eRepublik history at the time. Sensing the threat to their colonies, PEACE members poured fighters into Japan to resist the Americans. The attack ultimately failed. However, sentiment in Japan was leaning towards the liberation of China and India, so Japan forgave the United States. Dokomo gave PHOENIX an ultimatum. Leave all territories in Asia besides Heilongjiang or he would retreat Kyushuu to the Americans. PHOENIX had three days and refused. Japan then let the United States into China.
China was glad that someone was coming to help them out, and swapped territories with the United States to defeat Indonesia from many chunks of China. From Kyushu, the US land swapped into China at Zhejiang and attacked Indonesia in the southern Chinese territory of Fujian. However, Indonesia's two southern Chinese territories, Fujian and Guangdong, were returned to China via resistance war before the US could conquer them. The US quickly swapped with China northwards to attack Xinjiang. The Indonesians were able to defend against the first attack, but succumbed to the second attack on 15 December, and just like that the Indonesians were expelled from China after over a year of occupation. The United States was expecting heavy fights versus Indonesia, but each went by uneventful.
After Indonesia was gone, the United States turned its attention to Iran. Iran still had territories scattered throughout Pakistan, India and China from its days as an Empire, one of them being iron rich Liaoning. This was considered one of the "Three Pillars of Asia", along with Karnataka and Heilongjiang, because of its rare high iron. In India, Iran held West Bengal and Jharkhand, the latter being a fortress region and Iran's only high wood. Iran retreated West Bengal, which bordered American controlled Tibet, in order to cut off an easy route to Jharkhand. The battle between EDEN and PHOENIX was massive in Liaoning, but EDEN managed to take the region from Iran. Hungarian held Heilongjiang was not far from Liaoning, and was where the United States planned to hit next, this was the second pillar of Asia.
To successfully liberate the region the US would need to deal with the neighboring PHOENIX puppet state, North Korea. Due to poor planning and a glitch, Hungary managed to get initiative on the United States and force them away from North Korea. However, the United States and China combined an attack on Heilongjiang in retaliation. It was another intense battle, but PHOENIX secured the region, and managed to exploit a poorly planned region swap and take Jilin, which was one of two regions that bordered Heilongjiang. Hungary then had North Korea swap into Jilin, making Inner Mongolia the only Chinese region touching Heilongjian. This was problematic for EDEN since Inner Mongolia also bordered Russia, meaning the US would have to attack Russia in its original regions, activating their MPP's, in order to not be blocked from also attack Heilonjiang if they were to move into Inner Mongolia.
After the defeat in Heilongjiang, the United States decided to move on India. They used China to swap into India, where the United States handily removed Iran from, as well as most Indonesian territories. One Indonesian territory remained, Karnataka, the third pillar of Asia. EDEN expected another big fight, but to the shock of many, Indonesia retreated the territory. The United States then kept Karnataka for itself, using disputable reasons, including a Non aggression pact between India and Indonesia.
Eventually, all U.S. territory besides Karnataka would be converted to its original country via resistance wars backed by PHOENIX. Serbia would take Liaoning away from the Chinese and put it back in foreign hands.
After the chaos of March 6 2010, the United States would region swap with the Philippines to bring it out of India and back into a moving position in the Asian theatre. The U.S. then blocked Indonesia from attempting to climb back to Karnataka by holding Southern Thailand and also Mindanao, the Philippines.
Fall of an Empire
Indonesia had been considered one of the strongest nations of the world, laying claims to numerous amounts of territory and natural resources due to their conquest. At one point, Indonesia had claimed all of Australia and South Africa, as well as large portions of China and India. When the United States started the offensive, Indonesia had two South African regions, missing all of Australia's regions and had claims in China and India, including iron rich Karnataka. The only resource missing from Indonesia was wood, so it attacked its neighbor Malaysia. This backfired and gave Malaysia tons of support.
At the end of the Asian campaign, Indonesia had been kicked out of both China and India, having only high diamonds in South Africa. After the South Africans attacked with EDEN backing, Indonesia lost these regions as well, sending them back to their original regions, trapped, unable to get by its neighbors.
Korea fire line
Before the United States back its campaign to thwart PHOENIX's plans in Asia, South Korea had been a nation ruled by theocrats, only having two regions liberated from Japan. After the United States entered Asia, Japan slowly relinquished its hold on South Korea. The Koreans waged resistance wars and eventually freed the country (with the exception of the island Jeju.) North Korea on the other hand, had been a PHOENIX puppet state ever since World War III, doing a training war with Russia. While Liaoning was conquered by the USA, the USA turned its attention to North Korea, and attacked one region before being stopped by Hungary.
The conflict in Korea did not end there, though. North Korea focused more on fighting its neighbor South Korea after a war declaration. Half of South Korea was lost to North Korea, but thankfully the South Koreans fought hard in resistance wars and liberated the regions before Hungary consumed the country shortly after the U.S. defeat at Inner Mongolia where Russia took their territory. North Korea slowly became independent and taken over quickly be Belorussians, by which they worked out a deal with Russia to return North Korean land.
Hungary and Russia increased dominance
Things were calm in Asia after Karnataka was seized by the United States and Serbia stood in the Pakistani region Sindh, waiting for the opportunity to move on either Karnataka or Liaoning. While EDEN was out fighting to finish off the United Kingdom in London, Russia took advantage of this and attack China in precious Liaoning and also in Xinjiang. Due to lack of EDEN support, Russia won both regions. Sol attempted intervention by using fellow member the Philippines swap most of China's territory into its own. The Philippines were too late though and Russia moved on Beijing, but failed. China countered at Liaoning, but not before Hungary attacked first in a region swap campaign. China would have won the region if the Hungarian assault had been delayed. Hungary then took Xinjiang, and while EDEN and Sol watched in outrage as Serbia swapped regions with Hungary through Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and then Liaoning. Afterwards, China pushed Russia out of Xinjiang and the Philippines gave back its territory to its ally.
War in Australia
Brazil vs. Australia
During the course of the United States's campaign to liberate Asia from Indonesia, Hungary and Iran, South Africa was targeted by individuals who wanted to destroy the country. This had already happened in Venezuela, and the South Africans had barely managed to stave off them. Brazil asked South Africa to let them through, and South Africa complied. During the initial invasion, Brazil won Western and Northern Australia. Australia and their EDEN allies fought back and reclaimed Northern Australia. In a renewed offensive a few days later, Brazil was pushed out of Western Australia as well.
In March 2010, the Australian president decided to push his luck after losing several battles in Africa and invaded Indonesia in the region of Papua. Obviously, with great PHOENIX support for Indonesia, Australia was pushed out and was open to invasion. Indonesia, however, declined to take advantage of Australia for the time.
War in Africa
Indonesia and Brazil vs. South Africa
After months and months of peace between South Africa and Indonesia, Indonesia attacked South Africa from its two occupation states within the country itself. South Africa was heavily backed by EDEN and managed to defeat the initial Indonesian invasion. South Africa counterattacked Northern Cape, but could not attack Western Cape due to Indonesia swapping with Argentina. Argentina wanted South Africa's diamonds so they swapped with Indonesia.
This didn't turn out so well, because Indonesia was forced to win the fight in Northern Cape. EDEN again heavily backed this attack and was able to win against Indonesia. Empowered by their victory over Indonesia, South Africa supported a resistance war in the diamond rich South African region held by Brazil; Gauteng. Though the South Africans received EDEN backing again, they failed to defeat Brazil.
The Saddest Story of the World
In a renewed EDEN attempt to remove PHOENIX colonies, Gauteng was liberated and returned to South Africa on March 3rd 2010. After the presidential elections, that success was put to shame by the newly elected president of South Africa who wanted to destroy the country and attacked both Brazil and Argentina, activating numerous MPPs against them. Argentina and Brazil were put to shame and took advantage of their poor neighbor and destroyed the country, splitting the territory amongst themselves, rejoicing in the high diamonds.
Australia was outraged at its neighbor abused and declared war on Argentina, going on the offensive for the first time in its lifetime. Australia attacked and defeated Argentina in the first battle, where Brazil counterattacked the region and kept Australia out. In a renewed effort, a resistance war in South Africa was successful in Northern Cape. The first thing the South Africans did was impeach the goon president and fortify their congress against a PTO threat. EDEN showed its will to liberate the South Africans and had Australia win two of Argentina's regions over and resistance warred one South African region back to them. This had been a hundred times faster than what PHOENIX had attempted when they tried to free France and Germany.
War Asia Minor
The Pakistani Land bridge
After the defeat of Iran in China and Indonesia in India, Pakistan silently swapped Iran, Turkey and Bulgaria regions up to the PHOENIX power Serbia. Not much was thought of the bridge at the time, as the war waged elsewhere. However, Serbia used Pakistan as the land bridge to bring itself to Asia. Serbia secured a Pakistani region; Sindh, and barricaded it to prevent it from being attacked via resistance war. For this move of bringing in Serbia, Sol expelled Pakistan from its alliance, this had no effect, however, as Pakistan was never an Official member of Sol.
Eventually, the Serbian land bridge was destroyed by resistance wars with the exception of the Pakistani regions that Serbia still held. Serbia waited its time on the doorstep to India and China for over a month when finally they struck. Russia captured the Chinese region of Xinjiang, the region that Pakistan bordered. Hungary captured Liaoning and prevented a Chinese advance on it. Serbia swapped Russia and Hungary to the high iron Liaoning, a native Chinese region referred to as one of the Three Pillars of Asia. This was referring to the high iron it had. Pakistan then swapped Serbia for Xinjiang. The region was returned to China via resistance war.
Greece vs. Turkey
During the Romanian invasion of Bulgaria in December, Greece attacked its long hated enemy, Turkey. They used open MPPs to help deal damage against the Turkish forces and their MPPs. The attacks were cycled and Turkey was kept initiative locked until poor foresight by EDEN allowed Romania and Greece to attack the same Turkish region. Romania won and Greece lost initiative.
The tides could have turned quickly by the Turkish attack on the Aegean Islands, but the attack was warded off and Greece continued initiative blocking Turkey in a cycle on the Aegean coast of Turkey and Mediterranean coast of Turkey.
Then, later in the month, Greece was attacked by Turkey after the president of Greece failed to initiative block by cycling attacks, and an attack by Bulgaria. Greece lost the Aegean Islands and Crete to Turkey, but stopped them in Peloponnese and Central Greece. Israel had also been a victim of Turkish assault and lost all but one region. Greece reclaimed its land and Israel's so a sort of stability fell on the region for the time being.
In February, Greece made a move to win the Aegean Coast of Turkey battle and succeeded. They then attacked Turkey's capital of Ankara, and also won. Turkey now had only one Q5 hospital left in the Antalya because of the Pakistani land bridge that destroyed hospitals in three separate regions. Antalya became the new Turkish capital, the first time the capital had changed from Ankara in its existence. From Ankara, Greece continued to cycle attacks, winning in Eastern Anatolia. However, Greece then lost the initiative in the war and lost all of its Turkish territories because of Turkey counterattacking.
War in Europe
- Czech Republic
Everyone Attacks Everyone, Everywhere
In late November Poland invaded Germany and overran the PHOENIX member's three border regions, including Berlin. Spain invaded the three border regions of France before this as well. When the United States pushed into Asia, Romania invaded Bulgaria, Greece attacked Turkey, Croatia attacked Slovenia, Russia attacked Finland, Spain fought Italy, Serbia fought Romania, Spain invaded more of France, and Poland invaded more of Germany after a very large baby boom drove their population from around 12,000 to over 40,000. At the very end of the baby boom, Poland would have more than 65,000 citizens.
Spain Invades France
Spain's campaign against France was successful and won all of their attacks, including taking out France's second Q5 hospital, leaving only one remaining in Paris. Spain stalled in those regions for quite some time before pressing on to Paris. Spain succeeded again, defeating France in Paris and leaving their last hospital a Q2 in Picardy.
Spain pushed on and defeated the rest of mainland France. They then swapped lots of French territory over to Poland, who had defeated Germany on their front. France was left with Corsica, where Spain attempted to work out a deal. France, in its pride, refused and built a Q4 hospital in Corsica.
There it stayed like that while Spain invaded Italy and for a while. Eventually, France started resistance wars and won several, though lost the fight in Corsica against Spain's renewed efforts. France looked like it would reestablish itself, but the United States intervened and blocked France while Spain got ready for the death blow. They defeated the liberated French territory. The United States finished the last French region, Upper Normandy.
Poland Invades Germany
Late in November 2009, Poland invaded and conquered the three German border regions with the assistance of EDEN. They used a screenshot of Poland with those three regions and posted it around the Polish internet, inviting thousands of players in almost overnight. After the baby boom was done, Poland had gained over 50,000 citizens. They used these citizens, eager to wage war on Germany to reduce Germany to its capital in Saarland. It was a hard fight in Saarland, but Poland defeated Germany and multiple PHOENIX allies all by itself.
While France was using resistance wars to free itself, Germany tried the same and was liberated in Saarland and Bavaria. Russia donated a Q5 hospital to Saarland for the Germans. No fights have been initiated by Poland after the liberation.
Romania Attacks Bulgaria
Bulgaria had been a member of PEACE GC but had not helped found the PHOENIX alliance. Their only alliance was signed with Hungary. Romania invaded all three border regions of Bulgaria. This was thought to be a test of strength between Romania and Hungary. A preparation of sorts for things to come. Romania won one of the battles, and with Greece's attacks on Turkey, it became clear. Romania moved towards the bridge to Asia, winning the battle of the land bridge; Marmara, unfortunately, this destroyed Greece's initiative and almost cost EDEN dearly.
Unfortunately for the Romanians, Bulgaria was quick to act on the unprovoked attack. They joined PHOENIX and started to sign PHOENIX alliances. Serbia even attacked Romanian occupied Bulgarian territory. After Romania lost control of Marmara to Bulgaria, things seemed to be going smoothly. When Pakistan used Bulgaria as part of the land bridge to get Serbia to Asia, Romania leapt on this and renewed the assault on Bulgaria. Eventually, Bulgaria was left with just its capital, Sofia left.
Romania defeated this region and removed Bulgaria from the map. Eventually, Serbia beat Romania back and liberated Bulgaria. Bulgaria took care of its baby boom that Romania had started and got to work to harness and try to bring stability to the country. After Romania was expelled the second time, it did not attack again.
Croatia Invades Slovenia
Slovenia, at that time a small country of PHOENIX had long since pestered much stronger Croatia of EDEN by wasting Croatian damage in battles opened by Slovenia. Croatia took advantage of the chaos in the region and invaded Slovenia. Slovenia lost all but Prekmurje without giving up much fight. Slovenia thought that Hungary would help them in their capital and last region. Hungary, however, was busier in Asia and Slovenia was defeated.
A few weeks later, Hungary and PHOENIX made up for that and used resistance wars to liberate half the country. Later, when Croatia would go to invade Austria, the rest of Slovenia would be liberated. The blocking attacks on Croatia have since stopped after the country's brief disappearance from the world.
Hungary Invades Romania
After Romania had been expelled from Bulgaria, the United States caught up in Asia and lots of attention coming on Poland and Spain for invading Germany and France, Hungary invaded their long standing rival, Romania. Romania lost two regions to the Hungarians, and would have likely been hard pressed to prevent other attacks if it had not been for the U.S.
The United States attacked Hungarian Heilongjiang, one of the pillars of Asia, at this time and Hungary very quickly changed focus from Romania to Heilongjiang and their high iron. Romania used this and recaptured their two missing regions handily. All infrastructure that was lost was rebuilt and Romania did not initiate a counterattack into Hungary.
The United States in Europe
The United States, in coordination with allies Spain, Poland, Canada, Norway and Sweden, planned the long awaited invasion of Britain. The USA had been waiting for this ever since they were betrayed in World War III by the United Kingdom. First, the United States had to make a beachhead and swapped Spain onto the shores of France. France staged a rebellion at this time and liberated many of its territories. Spain looked like it would lose control of the French regions, but the United States initiative blocked France so Spain could lick its wounds.
Once Spain was ready, with the United States the two finished off France once and for all. With France out of the war, the United States invaded the South East of England using 6 MPPs the British had activated by attacking American soil previously. Norway, Canada and Sweden too also attacked. The Swedish, Norwegian and Canadian assaults failed, but the Americans managed to win many regions. It was only until after this did the Prime Minister of the U.K., dishmcds, begin to retreat these regions. Dishmcds retreated Scotland to Canada and Yorkshire to Sweden. Canada let Norway swap into Scotland and the Norwegians won Northern Ireland, which in turn Ireland seized.
Canada went back to hold Scotland and the Swedes made progress on the United Kingdom. Eventually, the United Kingdom was reduced to just London. America had them surrounded and launched an offensive. The Battle of London ended in disaster for the United States. U.S. president Josh Frost knew defeat and signed a deal with the United Kingdom and all of EDEN. EDEN relinquished all control of British soil and left. The only exception was Ireland, who was neutral and had no intention of handing back Northern Ireland. Two British backed resistance wars returned the region though, ending foreign occupation of the United Kingdom, albeit at a great loss of infrastructure and citizens.
Croatia in Austria and Czechoslovakia
After the battle of London, Croatia invaded Austria using borders from their captured Slovenian territory. The original reason for the war was not known at the time, but the Croats won most of eastern Austria from the true Austrians. No offensive was pushed westward. Hungary swapped into Austria and attacked Croatia, but unfortunately could not win due to Croatian MPPs activated against Hungary. Croatia let all its Austrian territory fall to resistance wars and built a Q5 hospital in Upper Austria. Due to Croatian preoccupation, Slovenia managed to liberate all of her territories. Upper Austria then fell to resistance war and Croatia was gone from Austria and Slovenia.
At the same time, Poland invaded the Czech Republic, another move that not many people had an idea of at the time. It was revealed shortly after that the deal between Slovakia and the Czech Republic of forming Czechoslovakia had been done. In an effort to avoid PTO, Poland conquered the Czechs so that Slovakia would not have to deal with the Czech parties. Every region was taken into Czechoslovakia with the exception of Southern Bohemia. Hungary intervened again and stopped full Czechoslovakia. Eventually, Czechoslovakia was a mess, only owning one Czech region with no infrastructure. Poor coordination brought on the loss for the Czechs, who mostly now resided in Central Slovakia until Q5 hospital was bought in Southern Bohemia and most Czechs left Slovakia. The one Slovakian held Czech region was then liberated via resistance war, with Spain still holding Prague.
Later, Poland region swapped through Austria to try to get Croatia into Asia through America again, like their first attempt alone. It worked until the United States brought troops to fight in a resistance war instead of in Slovenia. The bridge failed and now Slovenia had active MPPs against Poland.
Swedish Invasion of Denmark
Denmark, as always had taken a neutral stance and allowed its neighbors to capture the Danish peninsula, so long as no one messed with the Danish capital of Copenhagen, everything was fine. However, Serbian citizens took over the country and were preparing to disrupt them and their neighbors. Sweden commenced an invasion with its ally Norway and conquered all of the regions besides Copenhagen. The Serbian MPP was signed, but the Danish president attacked homeland Sweden, activating MPPs against Denmark. With these alliances, Sweden defeated Denmark even with the Swedish MPP.
When Denmark was liberated in Copenhagen a short time later, the Serbians had left.
The Battle for Europe
After a lull in fighting and the failure of Poland and Croatia to establish a land bridge through America and into Asia, Slovenia region swapped with Italy in a plan to destroy Poland's source of high wood in an original region of France, Rhone Alps. PHOENIX thought that the MPPs against Poland would shake down the country and start a chain reaction that would release its hold on Germany. PHOENIX was deathly wrong and Slovenia did not stand a chance, never pushing the wall down. The wall for the defenders was enormous, a first with over 10 million damage holding the wall for Poland. Poland counterattacked and defeated Slovenia in an Italian region.
Hungary now followed Slovenia's chain through Italy, while Spain captured the Italian region that Poland had taken, while Poland attacked Hungary in Italy. Meanwhile, Croatia used MPPs against Hungary to capture Austrian territory that Hungary had seized. Croatia had another chance to reach Asia, but Hungary wisely resistance warred the Italian territory under their reign away. Since Poland and Italy had no active wars, the front stalled, but Croatia kept defeating Hungary in Austria.
While this was going on Finland invaded Russia in Leningrad and Northern Russia, in an attempt to reunify EDEN after the United States threatened to leave following the events of the second attempt at a Croatian land bridge. Russia furiously defended these regions, but retreated Leningrad to maintain the initiative. The Finns were also trying to get a baby boom, knowing their country would probably be lost. They were right, and the country was utterly defeated by Russia, though Western Finland, a region that prior to being conquered had been their capital and the most populated area was liberated on April 2 2010.
War in North America
The United Kingdom Invades New England
While the United States was busy fighting the PHOENIX powers in Asia as a part of the Asian campaign, the United Kingdom set forth to block the United States from attack by invading New England. The United States retreated their regions to the British, and then Canada attacked them because of the open war. Canada defeated most of the United Kingdom in New England, the rest of New England returning by resistance wars. Canada then kept Delaware as part of an agreement between them and the USA to prevent such a thing from happening again.
This invasion on the home-soil of the United States would end up costing the U.K. dearly when they would be invaded in two months to come.
War in South America
War in the jungle
The Polish puppet state of Peru was attacked by Brazil attempting to usurp foreign control of a South American country, like what they did in Venezuela from terrorists. Brazil failed to secure a region of Peru and so they fought back in the North of Brazil region, which had high iron. Peru failed to take the region twice, but on the third time, they were victorious. Poland attempted to swap into the region but a resistance war returned the region before Poland could get there.
