Religions

Protestation of Robotism Deletion

I would like to protest the deletion of my (former) page, Robotism. It included all necessary information listed below. It had over 100 followers at the time of deletion. I even went to the extreme lengths to create a forum. Now it seems I've wasted $5 on a domain I was going to use for the official website of Robotism. Also, there was no warning! I received no messages of any form! I believe the courtesy of alerting me that my page was lacking would be proper for such refined people (the staff) as yourselves. The page can be returned quite easily. However, please read the information below, posted by Admin. Does Robotism meet the criteria? Is it significant and relevant to eRepublik? Reinclusion of Lewisism/Lewdaism

I would like to formally request that http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/User:Geno_Garon/Lewdaism be included into the Wiki proper. The "offensive" and non-neutral elements have been removed, and the people want to see it. There is already one state that has adopted Lewdaism as the Official State Religion under the power and urging of President Justinious McWalburgson III. Lewdaism has proven its cultural relevancy and merit for inclusion, but if any editors have any further edits they would like to see before inclusion, I would happily jump right on them. --Geno Garon : Just trying to get by... 11:46, 2 February 2009 (PST)

After looking at the "before and after", It's obvious that you've removed a lot of the things that have made the religion dubious, most notably of which the fact that your god doesn't actually want to associate himself with your religion. As BGBW said, this should be included within the article.

Also, you've finally gained real notability; not only is it a state religion, but Michael Lewis is running for office and plans to stamp this out as one of his first acts, even though it doesn't involve him directly. Well done, you've made his list.

Information

All religions pages should have at least these common sense information in them:

• short introduction
• beliefs/concepts/creeds/worship/etc.
• books/articles of faith/scriptures/etc.
• practices/duties/responsibilities/etc.
• history:
  • founder/founders
  • origins
  • evolution
  • historical figures
  • denominations (if any)
• important events in the New World related to the religion (if no complete and objective history section can be achieved)
• relevance (what were the implications of the fact that the religion was founded, what were the implications of the religion existence) (strongly related with the important events section)
• demographics and number of followers (estimation) - these should be based on strong relevant articles and topic forums

Keep in mind that these types of articles should be taken with great seriousness, as they are chronicles of 'already established religions in the New World. --Admin 11:30, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Steps

1. Create the religion pages in your user space (do not include any templates from the Main Space, nor any categories in the pages you create)
2. Ask for the Wiki community approval in the Bar to move it to Main Space.
3. Create templates: Religion and Religion/Views
4. Add <includeonly>[[Category:NAME OF YOUR RELIGION]]</includeonly> ONLY to the Religion/Views template you have created
5. Add [[Category:Religions]] to the category Category:NAME OF YOUR RELIGION
6. Add your religion to the Religion page

Personally, I think religion is a very important part of this game (eReligion of course... no RL religion would work well in eRepublik, much like politics). The Revelation

After recieving the Holy Revelation, I have started to see the Administrators are the Gods they are ;) . I wanted to start with the studies of theology, but I am afraid that some of them dislike the idea to be explicitly called Gods in Gamma ("the New World").

I prayed ("wrote a ticket") but GheorgheB ("Gheorghe B.") suggested me to ask here, if MaryS ("Mary S."), and AmandaJ ("Amanda J.") have something against the idea because they would be the first Deities to be mentioned in our Order.
