The 1st New Zealand Dictatorship was a regime that was imposed upon New Zealand in 2014 after a period of relative decline and stagnation in the nation. It came about after a wide range of the nations most active and military strong citizens either departed or quit the game. With a fear that democracy could not be sustained and that NZ would fall prey to being taken over by its larger neighbors and decision was made to utilize the Dictatorship model to help guide the nation forward.
Eventually the regime began to teeter as citizens demanded a return to democracy and tension developed between its supporters and opponents. Finally the NZ Democratic Revolution took place which resulted in the Dictatorship crumbling and it being replaced by a restored democracy.
