Personal Information
Assato is a citizen of Brazil. Assato can speak Portuguese, English and French fluently, and understand written texts in Spanish.
Assato is also an active player on the in game forums, with a post count of more than 3000. His most visited subforums are the Economy, Help and Suggestions sections, and Other Announcements as a not-so-close fourth.
History
Birth
Assato was born in the Southeast of Brazil region, at day 310 of the New World. He was invited by Jose das Oleraceas, back when the game was still in its beta stage. He started working in a food company in Brazil, owned by Cavalcanti.
eRepublik V1
Few weeks after Assato joined the New World the game underwent a major change and left its beta stage, to enter its V1 status. With the introduction of raw materials, salaries in that sectors were suddenly very high and, like many other beta players, Assato decided to change jobs and work in the Land industry, where he's been working ever since (except for a few weeks where he worked in his own House company, back in the beginning of V1 too).
First Company
Assato's first company was a House company, in Brazil, and in the beginning of V1. After 2 or 3 weeks with a mildly profitable business, a serious world-wide lack of wood made it impossible for him to continue, and Assato was forced to close the company and sell it.
Life in Indonesia
After selling his company, Assato became a 2-clicker for a long time, initially in Brazil, and later in Indonesia. This period of his life is completely uninteresting (consisting of only working, training, and fighting 5 times a day), and lasted for around 6 months. Meanwhile, many interesting things were happening in Brazil, like war with Argentina, TO in South Africa, and other things - but Assato missed it all.
Back to Brazil
During his uneventful life in Indonesia, Assato was able to gather a good amount of money, and decided to start going back to business again. He bought an Iron company in Brazil and moved back to Brazil in order to work for his own company. Purely by luck, his timing was extremely good, as just few days later one of the biggest wars in history of eRepublik (the war which ultimately led USA to remain with only a single state) erupted and iron prices skyrocketed. Making a profit of as much as 5-8G/day on a good day, Assato was soon able to open other companies.
Assato was now no longer a 2-clicker; he had companies to manage, and had a good strength and rank, due to its continued training in Indonesia. With real wars to fight now, Assato enlisted in the military, and became a moderately active user on IRC.
Assato has since then never left Brazil for more than 2 consecutive days, and never changed his Citizenship.
Political Activity
After his return to Brazil, Assato was elected Congressman of the Uniao Brasileira party, for the region of Rio Grande do Sul. However, since then he has never run for elections again, for personal reasons. It is rumored that he will candidate for congress elections once more in a near future!

Press Activity
Assato had his newspaper for as long as he can remember, ever since the beginning of V1. However, he had never written any article until recently. His articles are mostly related to company management and are sometimes math related. Except for his first article, he always writes in English and Portuguese.
His newspaper is called Assato News. He wants to change it to a name that will better represent the nature of his newspaper, and will do so as soon as he finds a better name and avatar (suggestions are welcome by in game PM).
Assato is the author of 10 Things You Should Know Before Starting a Company, which is his first article.
