The APP was Founded in November 2011 by Jordan Common/Gordy Browning. The party has seen immense growth in its short period of existence. It had the largest party membership of any party in Australia in 2012, had a large and organised team of Senators during the period of 2012 and their candidates won 6 Prime Minister positions between November 2011 and November 2012. It was originally started as Center-Left party, but later they changed to pure center.
