The Bundesbank is the central bank of Germany and as such directed by the German Ministry of Finance. Although it is mobile as all organizations in eRepublik are, the Bundesbank is located in Saarland.

The Bundesbank was established on Day 367 by the first President of the Bundesbank, DKN. Due to its ties to the German Administration and the Ministry of Finance, the Bundesbank often follows certain targets regarding the DEM/Gold exchange rate. The influence of the government on the monetary policies of the Bundesbank is also based on the fact that its President usually is the Minister of Finance as well.
