Në botën e re, capitali - Icon-capital.gif - i një shteti definohet si regjioni primar dhe kryesor i një shteti,dhe zakonisht mban numrin më të madh të popullsisë.Kur një regjion i shteti okupohet,të gjithë qytetarët që jetojnë aty dhe janë anëtar të kongresit,president të shtetit ose president të partisë,dhe gjatë ditëve të zgjedhjeve kandidatët për president shteti(me daten 5 të atij muaji),president partie (datën 15 të atij muaji),dhe kandidat për kongres (datën 25 të atij muaji),automatikisht zhvendosen në kapitalin e ri të shtetit të tyre.

Kryeqyteti i shtetit mund të ndrroj VETËM në këto raste:

  • Nëse kryeqyteti i shtetit është okupuar në betejë,kryeqyteti i ri do të jetë regjioni më i madh (me më shumë popullsi)që i takon shtetit që po mbrohet;
  • Nëse një shtet merr pavarësinë e vet nëpërmjet një rezistence në luftë të suksesshme,regjioni i parë i cili lirohet do të bëhet kryeqyteti i ri e shtetit të mëparshëm që tani po rindërtohet.
