The February 2011 Kiwi Independent Party Presidential elections featured a contest between veteran PnPP member Crusadercarl and Piximan. With Welsh nowhere, the election was tight, but Crusadercarl won 13 to 10. After his victory, the new PP sought to launch a new party that create a “fun” movement, leaving the seriousness of politics to the PnPP. The KIP was officially dissolved and replaced by the Speight's Supporters Party (SSP).

Military
Crusadercarl was a member of Angry Angels, New Zealand Army and AA NZDF. He also established New Zealand Special Forces during one of his presidencies.
Radical reform for New Zealand military came in June 2011, after the election of Crusadercarl as President. He campaigned on a pledge to re-organize the NZ Army. His most notable reform was spiting the NZDF into two units, the New Zealand Special Forces (NZSF) and the New Zealand Defence Forces (NZDF). The new reforms divided soldiers based upon their strength. Those with more than 2,500 joined the NZSF and the rest remained in the NZDF. This led to major growth in the NZDF membership and finally allowed it to properly organize itself. Compared to the NZSF, the NZDF dealt with more domestic issues and refrained from taking part in major international campaigns.
