Personal Information
General (Retd.) Darkmantle CNZM CGC DSC MC MiD was a citizen of the United States of America. During his years within the New World, he has been elected into Congress 14 times and has had 3 terms as Party president of the UKRP. He has also held numerous Military Ranks in both UK and NZ, as well as cabinet positions in both countries and the USA. He has served as the Minister of Technology for both the United Kingdom and USA numerous times, creating various used and unused applications for the government and military. He has also been the Minister of Legislative Affairs for the United Kingdom and the Secretary of Defense for the USA in August and September 2013.

Darkmantle served as a Brigadier in Special Air Service command for the last week of its existence. Since the merging with the British Army, Darkmantle served as a staff officer in the Royal Armoured Corps, holding the rank of Brigadier. He rose to the position of General Staff Officer (Major General) before leaving Military Command.
He then rejoined the Military as a Petty Officer within the United Kingdom Special Forces, Special Boat Service Regiment, before leaving to join the Ultramarines for a short while. He soon rejoined the UK Military, where he became part of the UKSF again. After being transferred to the United Kingdom Elite Forces he became their 2iC, and then their Commanding Officer, before leaving the UK.

New Zealand
Darkmantle served as a Lieutenant Colonel of the Special Air Service, working in the position of Executive Officer before the major restructuring of the New Zealand Defence Forces. With the new changes, he was a General, serving as the Special Forces Commanding Officer and a member of the Defence Council, before being promoted to Field Marshall as Chief of the Defence Forces. He shortly disbanded the NZDF temporarily due to the Political issues arising within New Zealand, before returning to his home country of UK.

USA
Since moving to USA, Darkmantle has been a permanent member of Ultramarines, designing and maintaining both their bot and hub while being one of their soldiers. He spent a year as a Quartermaster before taking over as Commanding Officer in May 2013. In the months he held this position he immediately hired new, active officers who assisted him in purging the Ultramarines somewhat and started working with the other USAF branches to increase communication. Ultramarines became more active during this time and he helped train new officers who took over when he stepped down to be Secretary of Defense. After his 2 terms as SoD Darkmantle returned to Ultramarines as Commanding Officer.

For the month of August 2011, Darkmantle was Mentioned in Dispatches for the hard work that he had put into the RAC as it's Staff Officer. He was further awarded the Military Cross for the month of September 2011 for his work on creating the Military Hub. Darkmantle was upgraded to Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for his continuous work for the Military in maintaining the Military Hub even when no longer an active member of the UKAF. Although no longer in use, the Military hub that he created alongside Draaglom, as well as the IRC bot created to complement it, were both used successfully for over a year.

Darkmantle was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for achieving the rank of General within the NZDF. He has also earned the right to wear the Command Service Ribbon.

Politics
Congress
After running in February, Darkmantle successfully got voted into Scotland with the highest amount of votes in that region. He also dedicated much time to help direct the Congress votes for the UKRP, as he did for a total of 4 months. Darkmantle served 4 terms as a Congressman in Scotland, but failed to be elected for a 5th turn due to Scotland being taken in a Military Maneuver during a war. He was then reinstated as a Congressman of Scotland in July 2010.
In both August and September, Darkmantle was elected into Congress as a representative for London. During these 2 months, he continued his work within the legislative body of the United Kingdom, before retiring from UK politics. He returned in December and was successfully elected back into Scotland during the January elections. He has continued to be elected within Scotland since then until he left the UK.
Darkmantle was elected into the eUS Congress in May 2012 however was busy with his Secretarial work and failed to participate fully. He was then elected into the meta Congress at the end of July 2013 where he worked with Congress on bringing forward ideas for USAF reform, although due to the loss of regions there was no in-game Congress.

Ministry of Technology
During the majority of the September presidential term, Darkmantle served in Jamesw's cabinet as the Minister of Technology. During this time he finished working on the Military Hub while developing a government applications system for all future UK CP Candidates and Ministers to use. He also trained other citizens in basic coding skills to enable them to maintain the applications in the future if needed.
He continued to aid the Ministry of Technology, his main working being on the UK Military Hub and Tools website, before being hired once again as Minister of Technology by Jhorlin for this Presidential Term of February 2011. Darkmantle held the position for one month, where he started the development of many systems. These were put on hold due to the removal of the Ministry of Technology, although the code and sites are still there ready to be used in the future.
Ministry of Legislative Affairs
Darkmantle was appointed MoLA for the first time upon the election of GGRyan as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Due to emergency family issues that occurred not even a week into his term, Darkmantle had to resign due to unknown time restraints. He has stayed on as a Legislative Adviser to the Cabinet under GGRyan, with Mr Woldy taking his place as Minister of Legislative Affairs. Darkmantle was once again appointed Minister of Legislative Affairs a year later, however, had to resign again due to real life problems.

Secretary of Technology
Darkmantle was appointed SecTech by Artela during her first term as POTUS. He has then been appointed for 3 further consecutive terms, working alongside the USA Cabinet to create various projects, the largest of which is an US Government website to centralize all the data and schemes. This is a large project and is under continuous work, with only a small portion of it completed so far. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and the ever changing needs of the government, the website was never fully completed and the project put on hold until further notice. Darkmantle also resigned as Minister of Technology to focus on his RL work and University.

Darkmantle served as the Secretary of Defense from August - October 2013. During this time the DoD team worked hard to create a healthy culture of a joint USAF by increasing inter-branch communication. They worked on bridging the gap between the executive and the USAF by ensuring that all policies are open for discussion by the CO's and XO's of each branch before implementation, and that they also get a decision on whether or not a policy is put into place. He also worked on optimising their commune structure to reduce budget, and his team worked hard to ensure that USAF policies are effectively implemented by the branches.

Party Leadership
Darkmantle was, for 4 months, the person who led the Congressional Direction team. During his terms as Congressional Director, he has had successful and unsuccessful results with this, depending on party issues at the time and communication of the leaders to its members. Even so, the quality of direction given with the resources that the party have, has increased under him.
He was also Vice Party president under Steve Steinbeck, where he assisted in the running of the party, and paved the way for him to become Party president after Steve stepped down from the leadership. His time as VPP was seen as constructive, and he helped the party along noticeably during the second term.
Party president
Darkmantle has had 2 terms as Party president of the United Kingdom Reform Party. His first month was noticeably his best, where he managed with the help of the other members, to achieve the highest amount of Congressional seats for the UKRP in 2010, a total of 12. This was down to constant party communication and the hard work of his peers. He also started the discussions on policies, and kept the party tighter than normal, quashing arguments and fights on the forums and ensuring that work got done. The party carried on to rise in members, although this did not last long.
His second month was, unfortunately, not as good. Due to other issues going on both eRepublik and not, Darkmantle was around less, as were some of his Party Leaders. The UK saw a drop in members from all parties and on a national level, which in turn affected the great recruitment that Steve and Darkmantle had been having since March. Policy discussions died down due to lack of interest from the party members, and schemes never got started. Near the end of his 2nd term, Darkmantle resigned and allowed Dishmcds to take over so that he could focus on the other aspects of his life.
Darkmantle returned to the UK in November 2012 to aid the UKRP who had fallen out of the Top 5. During his time there he was once again elected as Party President and during his term, the party managed to return to the Top 5 with a large recruitment campaign. He left just before the end of his term to return to the USA due to unsolvable differences with various members of the UK Community.
USWP
Since moving to the USA, Darkmantle has been a member of the United States Workers Party. Although not an active member, he does contribute by supporting both the party and it's candidates in the various elections, and has run for Congress under their banner.
