He also served as Deputy Minister of Defence in November 2009, and was elected by the October Senate as Senate Speaker . He was also re-elected as Senate Speaker in his next term by the Novemeber Senate.

In the Decemeber Senate he was elected as Inspector General of eAustralia.

Military

He has achieved a military rank of General and has received 2 Super Soldier medals.

He was the first appointed Second in Charge of the Australian Army Reserves. On 12th of October, 2009, he became the Military Marshall of the same group after Garven Dreis stepped down. He served roughly one month as Military Marhsall before stepping down to resume his role as co-deputy Minister of Defence, due to confliction of interests. He was also then appointed to Juliet Squad in ACUK. After a week or two he was elected as ACUK XO or 2ic. After Binda33 was fired from ACUK Marshall, he took over as Marshall for the rest of the term. In the January Cabinet she retook her role and Dean Kong resumed duties as XO.

Has also assisted Minister of Defence with weapon runs and various other military exercises.
