Dominik was a politician active in Canada, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Dominik was a former CSD member and former vice-president of that party before leaving in February 2009 to begin the Royal Feudalist Party, later Democratic Action League.

Biography

Pre-Canada

Dominik was born in Switzerland mere days before its occupation by France and Italy. After this, Dominik travelled Europe, spending brief moments in France and Sweden, before settling in the Czech Republic. He became a congressman and eventually Prague Mayor in the Czech Republic during the Czech-Hungarian War before leaving and temporarily retiring.

Canadian Social Democrats

Upon his return to eRepublik, Dominik joined the Canadian Social Democrats (CSD) led by then Prime Minister, Cottus Arci. After Arci's leave to rebuild Australia, Zanalan took over the CSD and made Dominik the vice-president of the party.

Zanalan administration

When Zanalan was elected Prime Minister, Dominik became the deputy, and gained Zanalan's old cabinet position- Minister of Communication. Dominik was a particularly vocal supporter of the Zanalan administration.

Royal Feudalist Party and Democratic Action League

Towards the end of Zanalan's presidency, Dominik became disillusioned with Zanalan's inactivity and failure to implement economic reforms. He left the Social Democrats and started the Royal Feudalist Party while still vice-president. The RFP was later rebranded and became the Democratic Action League. After Bruck was elected, Dominik was allowed to keep his cabinet position.

Presidential bid and Bruck's second term

Bruck ran for re-election, and Dominik faced off against the status quo. A CSD-backed Dominik eventually lost to Bruck in what was one of the closest elections in Canadian history (Bruck won by a mere 32 votes). Dominik was initially not invited back into cabinet, but Bruck eventually relented and offered him his old position. Dominik at first accepted, but then turned the position down and moved back to the Czech Republic. Once there, he slowly slipped into retirement.

Coming out of Retirement

2009/2010

Dominik came out of retirement in December 2009 and returned to Canada to take on a small role in the DAL. Dominik ran Sincostan for party president but he lost to Citizen B who made Dominik vice-president. Increasingly frustrated with the reactionary tendencies of this new DAL and the inactivity of its members, Dominik started a widely-supported splinter group known as the Revolutionary Action League. After accusations of using his position of root administrator on the DAL forum to support his political goals, Dominik and Uraczak destroyed the forum.

After this, Dominik joined C.H.A.O.S. until it was PTOed by jbdivinus. He also attempted to start a new party- the People's Revolutionary Soviet but to little success. Eventually, he returned to the Czech Republic and ran (unsuccessfully) for president as the candidate for the Czech Socialist Party. After his loss, Dominik slowly retired again, seemingly for good.

2011

DAL founding member and long-time friend of Dominik, Scorpius, convinced Dominik (who had begun two-clicking again in late 2010) to return to the game. Once there, he found his old party in a state of weakness. Soon, the party collapsed even more after an internal dispute between Acacia Mason and Citizen B. After president WolfGang III spontaneously left the party over the issue, Dominik arranged an interim triumvirate of himself, Scorpius and IronToader. He also introduced a system of using the forum to vote in the party president. Dominik became party president through the first such vote, narrowly defeating IronToader.

Dominik served a term as PP during which the DAL began to recover. He also managed to recover Flag-Canada.jpg 25,000 CAD from Wes Lewis during this time. At the end of the month, he allowed Janos Leinport to take the party over. Leinport made Dominik his vice-president and he remains active in the rebuilding of the DAL.
