Military Career

Greyhound describes himself as a pacifist and is opposed to war, preferring diplomacy and peaceful negotiation as a tool in foreign relations. However, he realises the important role war plays in eRepublik and thus, fights to protect the United Kingdom's homelands. He first fought on 22nd January 2010 in the battle for the North East of England against Sweden.

  • He was promoted to Corporal on 30th January 2010 while fighting in Nordjylland, Norway.
  • He was promoted to Sergeant on 10th February 2010, while defending East Midlands.
  • He was promoted to Lieutenant on 23rd February 2010, while defending the Black Sea Coast of Turkey.
  • His current rank is Captain, having been promoted on 9th April 2010, while fighting in Trondelag, Norway.

To date he has received one Super Soldier Medal.

Political Career

On this point, Greyhound once again expresses reservations. He believes in voting for independent individuals as opposed to party candidates. Given the nature of eRepublik, however, he felt the need to join a party so as to participate in the political system. With this in mind, he reviewed the policies of the United Kingdom's top five parties and deduced that the United Kingdom Reform Party best matched his beliefs. On reviewing other parties which where not in the top five, this decision was reinforced and he formally joined the party.

He cast his first vote in the January 2010 congressional elections.

He contested the February and March 2010 elections for the North East of England and West Midlands respectively. He was an official UKRP candidate but failed to be elected on both occasions.

In March 2010, he was made the Media Director of the United Kingdom Reform Party.

Government Career

In February 2010, Dorian Greyhound was made a Military Supplier by the Minister of Work. In this capacity he was in charge of stocking two of the United Kingdom's military companies as well as running the CivGun initiative, the latter along with other workers in the Ministry.

In March 2010, Dorian Greyhound was promoted to Underminister of Work. Due to both the end of the CivGun initiative as well as military companies being moved to another ministry, his responsibilities changed to that of supplying one of the UK government's official companies.
