President of Brazil

1st Term

March presidential elections were won by candidate Ed, from the Brazilian Youth Party. Before the elections, Ed had created numerous tutorials for new citizens in order to attract more and more Brazilians to the country.

During Ed's government, the position of Minister of Finance was held by Brito, who created a measure to regulate prices that worked very well, granting Brazil the lowest prices for products in the New World at the time. Brazilian products could enter any market in the world at competitive prices, even with Import Taxes at 99%.

But all this had a problem: Compared to the rest of the world, Brazilian workers were paid far too low. The minimum wage was around 0.4 BRL and a Food Q1 cost around 0.6 BRL. The new citizens practically survived on the basis of the Citizen Fee.

In this government, it is important to highlight that the PANAM (Pan American Alliance) was created, of which Brazil, along with Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico and the United States were part. As Canada chose to remain in the Mediterranean Alliance (an alliance formed by Western European countries) and not participate in PANAM, the United States declared war on Canada, a war in which Brazil had its first military participation in its history.

2nd Term

Ed was re-elected as President of Brazil in the presidential elections on April 1st as member of Comando Brasileiro. Still in the early days of his presidential term, Ed took a leave of absence and Brazil was without a president until the end of April.

At the end of Ed's government, Brazil already had over 200 citizens, due to large campaigns to publicize the new World.
