The Egyptian People's Party was founded on March 16th 2011, in Egypt by Varlosh the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Egyptian Government.

It was one of the top 4 parties in Egypt at the time.

The party held 8 of the congressmen of Egypt, for March 2011 and 10 (majority) for April 2011. In late April, the party was renamed to Egyptian Socialist Party and continued to be a strong force in Egyptian politics.

The best results for the party was that Varlosh got elected on two occasions as the President of Egypt.

At some point in summer 2011 the party officially ceased to exist and was succeeded by Misr lil Misreyeen.
