Romania declared war against
Indonesia on March 3, 2009, setting up a clash between two of the most powerful countries in the eWorld. Indonesia attacked Romanian conquered territories in Russia, conquering the
Western Siberia and
Northern Russia. Pushing further into the heart of Russia, however, it was unable to dislodge the Romanians. A resistance war then returned Northern Russia to Russia, separating the two warring powers. On March 19th, in an agreed staged war,
Norway surrendered the
Urals to Romania, allowing it to launch a counterattack on Indonesian forces. After reconquering Western Siberia, Romania handed the Urals back to Norway, along with the
Moscow and Central Russia and
Volga Vyatka regions.
Over the next month, Romania moved deep into Asia. Rather than attacking the heavily defended Xinjiang province, Romania looped around through the Eastern Region of Russia, and South into Iranian-held Chinese territories. Using the puppet-state of Pakistan Romania quickly took control of most of China, before pushing Westwards into Pakistan. At the high point of the war, Romania had over 40 regions and had reached the South coast of India.
After this point, the war turned, and Indonesia and Hungary began to make gains over Romania. The exact cause of the turn is unknown. Romania claims mass cheating by Indonesia was the cause; the Indonesians claim it was a good organisation that did it. In any case, Romania lost all of its gains, eventually being pushed back into its original regions. The last great battle, hailed as the end of the Romanian Empire, was the Battle of 541.
On May 15h, Indonesia finally reconquers the Western Siberia Region.
