Complete history of Poland

Under occupation

Poland belongs to the list of countries added from the very beginning of the New World and the eRepublik. At the start, as all other countries, Poland had a very small population. On May 1st, 2008 outside Polish western border there was a start of the First Sweden-Germany War resulted with parting Germany to just 4 regions.
Germans wanting to get their old regions back attacked Poland and Germany-Poland War started.

Even so, the fight was not as easy as Germans had thought, mostly because of help given by Polish allies. But as the time went, the allies were starting to back out their forces from the battlefield, which nearly immediately resulted in German counter ended with a whole-Poland occupation.
Even so, Americans fought to the end capturing by themselves German capital - Berlin.

Poland was finally occupied fully by German and withdrew from the map on June 6th, 2008.

Net Wars' era

Even without a country, Poles started to work for their freedom.
After the war and German annexation of Poland, some Polish player united under one motto – bij Niemca (Eng. Hit the German).

Triumphant Popolo arrival to Berlin

These Poles were users of a forum called Net Wars.

They created Polish political party, which task was to unite every Pole under one organisation, and for that purpose,PSF (Polish Secessionist Front) was created. These times also saw the very beginning of today's biggest Polish companies, as arrival of new Polish players.
After some time, Poles became the biggest minority in Germany.

First Elections' came quickly. Citizens were ordered to vote for the Mayors of regions they live, so their reign could start.

Elections went successfully for PSF – every mayor of old Polish lands was a Pole. Even so, the real objective of PSF was for next elections – Presidential elections and Congress elections.

Polish candidate was the most experienced Pole – Popolo.
From the very beginning, PSF's candidate had big aggregate to minor German parties candidates.
Congress elections were successful as well. PSF got 2/3 of votes total.

So then, Germany was under the Polish government. Poles were in the power, but there was not possible to do one thing - there was not a possibility to get Poland back on the map.
The cause was that there was no RW battle mode. But, then Poles made alternatives.

Under Sweden

Poles proposed Sweden to get Germany and Poland. At the same time, the Polish government of Germany started to destroy the German economy. They changed taxes and started to do more German money (1 000 000 of DEM), which caused a big inflation.

Swedes accepted Popolo's offer and declared the Second Sweden-Germany War. After some days, Germany got erased from the map.

If Sweden had not accepted an offer there would have had been an exceptional plan – in Czech Republic a very strong army division had been prepared, which was ready to get into Germany. The plan was stopped after Swedish attack, by then, waiting for RW battle mode, Poles split up: some went to Moravia and joined the division, others stayed in Poland, but there was also a group which ended their New World life and quit the game.

Waiting for independence

Players which stayed in the New World did not stop taking new Poles from Old World to the New one.
As in Sweden, as well as in Czech Republic, Polish players became the second biggest power - after original citizens - becoming biggest minorities in these countries.
They trained, opened up new companies, gained experience while waiting for a chance to free Poles from invaders and give Poland its sovereignty.

Time passed, September 2008 came.
This month was one of the most important for Polish independence and for the New World.
The World War I, in which ATLANTIS alliance with Romania and Polish overlord - Sweden, fought against PEACE pact led by Hungary.
In September 2008 New World also saw an update with RWs, which was a key thing for Poles to gain their freedom once again.
At this time, Poles moved out from Germany and the Czech Republic and started to return to the Polish original regions (Mazovia etc.). The Polish government in exile created a plan for the future and a strategy for revolution. A national fundraising started in order to gain money to start the resistance and be able to continue it till the success.
September 14, 2008 - Polish government in exile, with Popolo as the signing person, sign Polish Independence Agreement with Swedish side, with Flammbar as their CP. (Read more...)
October 20, 2008, after signing a pact with Sweden in September with the Swedish government, Polish Independence War started with first ever Polish RW fight in Little Poland.
On December 12, 2008, after nearly 3 months of fighting, Poland signed the peace treaty with Sweden - Poland is reestablished

Polish army rushes onto large wall standing in Krakow.

The Polish government in exile, when planning resistances, stated that the best wall height would be at 100k points. Resistance in Krakow was second ever made, first was one in Finland.
Such a wall was fear-maker for every nation in that days.
Polish people were not only ones, soldiers from Krakow had a good supply, given gifts and weapons, help from Sweden and other international military units, were forced to rush the wall during ten long days.
At last, Poles destroyed the wall and liberated Little Poland.
