The Hong Kong Special Duties Unit was formed on November 24, 2009 by Jameson L. Tai to help revitalize and support the Chinese military in defensive and training work. The unit operates in a militia-type fashion while its economic support may be found to be tied with the HKGOLDEN Party. Although it is operated like a militia, it is only used to build self-sufficiency and not a privatized military force for hire.
