Historical capital of Indonesia |
|
Java (Indonesian: Jawa) is an island and a region of Indonesia. The capital of Java is Jakarta, which is also Indonesia's national capital. Java, along with London, Singapore City and Kanto, is one of the few region that that has never lost his capital status[1].
Geography
Java lies between Sumatra to the west, the Lesser Sunda Islands, specifically Bali, to the east, and Kalimantan to the north. It is the world's 13th largest island. Java is surrounded by Java Sea in the north, Sunda Strait in the west, Indian Ocean in the south and Bali Strait and Madura Strait in the east. Java is neighbored by the following regions:
- Republic of China (Taiwan), Kalimantan
- Indonesia, Lesser Sunda Islands
- Indonesia, Sumatra
- Poland, Western Australia
Demography
With a population of 4076 as of June 5, 2011 (Day 1293), it is the most populous region in Indonesia and Asia and is home to approximately half of Indonesia's population.
Overtime Indonesian government ran transmigration programs aimed at resettling the population of Java on other less-populated regions of Indonesia, particularly to regions vulnerable of foreign attacks, such as Sumatra and Kalimantan.
Economy
During the course of eRepublik history, Java always function as a food-related economic sector before depleting cattle resource.
Today Java has nice quantities of wood
Constructions
Java was the first region to have a Q5 hospital built in it. Not much hospital was built in Java after the change in hospital mechanism (from the V1 system to Rising system), generally due to the hospital having significantly smaller effectiveness than previous hospital, and due to focus in defending more vulnerable regions, such as Sumatra.
