Joachim von Bremen, (informally known as JvB), is a citizen from the United Kingdom.
He has held positions of various political and military responsibility, including congress member for the Radical Freethinkers Alliance and People's Communist Party and second in command of the Royal Marines. He has also been a member of the House of Lords (subsequently renamed as the advisory committee), Chief Master of The Bremen Clubhouse, and Minister of Defence and Foreign Affairs of the UK.
Political
While in the RFA, Joachim have served 3 terms as a Member of Parliament in the South West of England as well as one term as Vice President of the RFA. In the PCP he served 2 terms in London. On a national level, he was appointed as Minister of Work for the eUK in November 2009; a position which he gave up shortly after in order to alleviate work levels directed towards the game. Following a period in the House of Lords as Duke of Nukem, he became a government advisor for another two months before resigning this post.
In March 2010, he preformed a political take over of The British Empire Party. He won with 32 votes, over Lemuel Gengulfus with 30 votes. Upon this victory, he changed the name of the party to the "MAOR LIONZ PARTY", and continued to change the party name daily for 2 weeks. in November 2010, he was appointed as Minister of Defence and Foreign Affairs in the jamesw administration, becoming the first to fill this role for over a year.
He ran for President of The United Kingdom in December 2010 and came third with 109 votes (16%).
He has had two terms as Under-Minister in the Ministry of Work as well as five terms of apprenticeships in the Ministries of Work, Finance, Trade, Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs. He is also a successful businessman and manager of the Europa Trade Federation.

Military
Having joined the Royal Navy in June 2009, he was in charge of HMS Will Salmon for 3 months and then was promoted to Commodore and helped with Admin and Training.
After this he was promoted into the Royal Guard high command as part of their restructuring and reform. When the Royal Gard was decommissioned in favour of the Royal Naval Training Reserve, he transferred to The Royal Parachute Regiment.
Upon the formation of the Royal Marines, he was made a Brigadier and has since been promoted to Lieutenant General and Second in Command of this wing of the military. Since then, the Marines has merged with the SF to form the SFSG, in which JvB served as a Major General until his retirement from the military. Since then, he moved to Serbia to fight with Lavovi, before returning to the UK, and has subsequently moved to Ireland to become a part of the Irish Reunification Alliance.
Other
Joachim's main strengths have always lied in public interaction and influence. He proudly claims to have never taken the game too seriously, instead focusing on light hearted playfulness as often as possible. Examples of this include his announcement to run for July 2010 Presidency, 9 months in advance, and his self-appointment as Minister of Defence in February 2010 after the resignation of Polio. He also announced he had occupied The Moon as part of his CP election campaign, and proclaimed himself as Deputy Prime Minister when Karacticus was elected in March 2010. Meanwhile, his psuedo-bullying of FrancisColeite10 led to the concept of 'boating' articles being coined - the word 'voting' has since almost disappeared from eRepublik vocabulary. His dream to take over the British Empire Party in order to emphasise their love of lions was successfully followed through with in March 2010.
He regards his greatest achievement as being The Bremen Clubhouse's destruction of Ireland on the 8th December 2010. He has sworn to take whatever measures necessary to repeat this feat.
