Korivak was left-leaning, but something of a traditionalist. He was supportive of the Monarchy and the historical traditions associated with it. He believed strongly in the right of sovereign rule for all nations and was firmly against any wars of aggression or territorial expansion.
Korivak was a retailer, working as an entry level merchandiser at a Canadian weapon store and later a food store.
Korivak was the owner and editor of The Ottawa Sovereign newspaper.
Korivak fought in Alaska and the west coast as a civilian volunteer during the Russian invasion, then began volunteering on the Atlantic Front.
