Latgale is an original region of Latvia. Finland occupied Latgale during Finland-Latvia War, but Finnish government decided to return it as a gesture of good will. Resistance war was started by Finland's Minister of Defence Okkius Pyromanius. It was occupied by Lithuania during Latvia-Estonia War.
