The Liberal Party of Australia was a political party located in Australia. It was created by Mr. Awesome on May 23, 2009. Some of their general ideals include individual rights, social freedoms, limitations of government, government transparency, free market with little government intervention, and progressive taxes. It is still a minority in the Australian government.

In the August 2009 congress elections, the party decided to run an official candidate through the Australian Independents Party. Elphaba Thropp became the first, and only, ever senator elected for the Liberal Party.
