A market license, formerly referred to as an export license, is a license that every citizen needs to sell products and raw materials on a country's marketplace (even their home country's national market). Citizens cannot sell in a country if they do not have a market license for that country.
Buying licenses
To buy a license, the citizen owner should open his storage. In the "Sell" section, there is a "Buy License" button. A new license will cost 20 GOLD.
To buy a license, a country needs to be selected from the list. All countries will appear, except for those countries for which the citizen has licenses already.
A pop-up will appear if the citizen is trying to buy a license for a country that
- has a trade embargo with citizen's citizenship country;
- is at direct war with citizen's country.
The pop-up will ask the citizen if he/she is sure to buy that market license, as they won’t be able to trade with this country due to a war or an embargo. If clicking CONFIRM, the license will be bought and enabled instantly.
Free licenses
- Each new citizen gets a free license to their home country market (according to their citizenship)
- Free licenses were also given when:
- Economy module was redefined on day 1,210, which meant if citizens had companies with extra licenses before day 1,210, they could get a certain number of licenses to use as they want
- When organizations were disbanded, if the citizen who was the owner had licenses with companies in the organization, all market licenses were transferred.
