Movimiento Artiguista Revolucionario (MAR) is an Icon-Uruguay.png Uruguayan political party.

Name

The party is called Movimiento Artiguista Revolucionario for the following reasons:

  • "Movimiento" for being a sector in constant growth-movement,
  • "Artiguista" because it's a stream proper of Uruguay
  • "Revolucionario" because it tries to revolutionize the current polarized political scene.

Goals

The goals of Movimiento Artiguista Revolucionario are fighting for a free and independent Uruguay by creating a fraternal space for debate aiming at common welfare among all the citizens of Uruguay, promoting gender equality and mutual respect.

History

It is unsure about all of the names, however it is believed the names of this party was something like this:
