Early Years
Joined the America's Advancement Party and got involved helping out with mass mailings. While in the AAP, he ran for congressman in Kansas and was endorsed by PigInZen and Dell Fargus. While in the AAP he also served as the Director of Communication for a short time.
It wasn't long before he discovered the USA Military, which followed with an application submission and being acquired by the Training Corps as trainee number 832 in the 111th Platoon. Shortly after joining the TC (within weeks) he was promoted up to the 112th Platoon's XO and was known as SGM MrCarey. He also joined the Department of Interior and helped in the Welcoming Committee by doing mass mailings and reaching out to new citizens. MrCarey then faded into exile and disappeared at the time he reached level 20, during the end of the UK-USA War.
Back From The Dead
In July 2014 he came back from the dead. He is currently part of We The People political party and is actively putting himself out there to be an involved citizen primarily through politics. He served as Deputy Chief of Staff for We The People July 2014 - August 2014. He graduated from Flight Training on July 26th, 2014 and is now enlisted in United States Armed Forces.
2014 Glory Days
MrCarey continued his active involvement within the party beyond his first month back into the game. In August he became a Deputy in the Media Department of WTP and put out quality articles weekly. He was then approached by Martin Reichert and asked to be a Deputy in the Retention Department. He accepted the offer for that job as well.
There was a forum post made by The Mike (current WTP PP at the time) asking for more volunteers for congress. MrCarey filled out the first time congressman application and was entered into the primaries. He finished the primaries in 2nd place with 31 votes and took his first term as an eUS Congressman.
During Tyler Bubblar's presidency, he joined the Media Department under the direction of SColbert and was eventually appointed as Secretary of Education in place of Evil Elvis.
We The People Party President
MrCarey was elected Party President and entered into the position on September 16, 2014 and ran 2 consecutive terms, finishing out on November 15, 2014. His main goals for the terms were communication, efficiency, and productivity.
Secretary of Education
Two thirds of the way through Tyler Bubblar's first term in office, MrCarey was appointed as the Secretary of Education in place of Evil Elvis. When MrCarey took over the department, it had been ignored for weeks. Nothing in the department was up to date, and there was a backlog of unanswered Question of the Day responses over the course of several weeks.
He had four goals set for his term as SoE:
- Get the QotD program back rolling
- Work with Scott Coyle on a new DoE website
- Eliminate DoE Forums
- Get the American university back in action
All these goals are outlined in this article by the DoE's official paper. These goals were also achieved by the time MrCarey left the position.
2015 Big Climb
Due to several compounding RL responsibilities and events, MrCarey stepped away from eRepublik. He returned on May 28, 2015 with this article. In the article, he stated that his primary plan is to become Party President in We The People again. He ran for the party presidency against Hale29 but was beat out in the primaries. He was appointed as Director of Media for We The People for June.
Upon his return, he also went back into the American University as a mentor, and after a week or so became the Dean, as the current dean was MIA. 5 students graduated from American University in June 2015 while MrCarey was running the program.
Tyler Bubblar approached MrCarey and offered him the position of Chief of Staff in his cabinet for his July 2015 campaign. Tyler Bubblar won the elections by 41 votes, and MrCarey was installed as Chief of Staff on July 6th, 2015.
Run for Country President & Secretary of Defense
In October 2015, MrCarey ran for Country President. Toward the end of the campaign, Gnilraps entered the race and ended up beating out MrCarey 346-135. MrCarey ended up with 21.23% of the votes. However, the campaign wasn't a total loss. Gnilraps offered MrCarey a position as Secretary of Defense in his cabinet. During his time as Sec Defense, MrCarey proposed a "Tank Initiative Program" to the cabinet. The program was meant to give a boost of incentive for tanks to participate in crucial battles. The proposed program never made it past the cabinet though.
Party Change
In November 2015, MrCarey was no long happy in We The People. He saw a stagnant, uninspired party where the leadership was unwilling to properly advance new players, and a tight knit group of older players who were unable to bend for change. MrCarey began looking at other parties and decided on joining the Federalist Party. He was welcomed with open arms and entered into leadership right away. From November 2015 to February 2016, MrCarey had been a Director in Retention, Recruitment, and Media departments.
