History

The National Pirate party has been in existence since September 2009, when Mr. Awesome left the Liberal Party of Australia and the party changed into the National Pirate Party, having been created soon after Talk like a Pirate day. Since that time, it has been a minor Australian political party, intending not to reach the ranks of the top 5 political parties, but rather to exist as a fun party for anyone who wanted to be a pirate.

February 2010

In February 2010, the National Pirate Party narrowly won the election against a suspected PTO[1]. Sir_Terrifico resigned shortly after gaining Party Presidency.

March 2010

During the month of March 2010, the National Pirate party saw exponential growth in numbers. They grew in numbers to reach as high as the third biggest party in Australia, with over 150 members. The reasons for this can be seen as a result of the changing of the experience system, which allows for fighting after only level 3. The majority of these members have since been banned for multi-ing, and their numbers have reduced significantly. It is believed that the people responsible for taking over South Africa in February 2010 are connected with the takeover attempt from this party.

Just prior to the elections, the party president was banned. Ownership was then passed on to the party member with the most experience, believed to be Jameson L. Tai. During the March Senate Elections, the Party's name was rebranded to PHOENIX PTO DONT VOTE. Afterwards, it was renamed by acting Party president Jameson L. Tai. After Jameson left the country on deployment as part of the DropBears, the party presidency was passed to Timeoin (of the Australian Military Party, who vowed to keep control of the party until the April party president elections, to stop it falling into the hands of the Channers.

Timeoin was responsible for changing the party name to its current name, The Greens, and changing its logo. The reason for this was so that new players would not confuse the National Pirate Party with the political takeover that was currently in effect from within the party.
