The ONE invasion of Romania, was a conflict between ONE countries against Romania. The invasion began on May 23, 2011 when joint ONE forces lead by Poland and Hungary attacked the Romanian homeland. The war was one of the fronts of much larger World War V.
Background
The invasion was an offshoot of a series of conflicts that had been raging since the beginning of World War V, in particular the Fourth Balkan War.
Romania had previously been conquered during the Fourth Balkan War, but in the weeks following had managed to regain independence and even counterattack neighboring ONE countries. Border skirmishes with Hungary had been ongoing since Romania regained its independence, and Romania had played a large part in diverting Hungarian forces away from assisting Serbia during the EDEN invasion of Serbia.
After Serbia had managed to hold back the invasion, EDEN forces were unable to continue applying the same amount of pressure to keep ONE forces contained in the region. As Serbia began to reemerge and free its territories, Hungary was then free to redeploy its forces against its Romanian adversary.
The new Hungarian resurgence was bolstered by the inclusion of Polish forces, who had managed to gain a Romania border as a result of the Ukraine-Turkey War, in which the country of Ukraine had been conquered.
This new border provided Poland with a direct line of attack against Romania, which was used as the launch point of the invasion in Bucovina. Shortly thereafter, Hungary began its own assault upon the Romanian territory of Crisana.
The two-pincered assault cut swiftly through Romanian forces, with deep penetrating actions eventually leading to a rapid defeat of Romania.
This would make the second time that Romania faced direct invasion and eventual conquering by ONE forces during the Fifth World War.
